So my husband is into vehicles, any vehicle really. Right now he is restoring a WW2 Harley. It took him 3 years to get all the parts, as they are very very rare. His 1942 battery arrived, dry, and he needed it filled so took it to this place.
The battery was stored in the garage, and as soon as winter hit, the battery exploded!!! Batteries don’t explode when they freeze! And to make matters worse, the 70 year old case split because of it AND I have battery acid on my garage floor!
Once my husband took everything apart, there was rust everywhere in the battery. His suspicions were confirmed, THEY MIXED WATER IN WITH THE ACID. Water is obviously cheaper than acid, and this time they must have mixed too much in. We obviously don’t have receipt, so no point taking it back to the shop.
