Bistro 76 has a very comforting home feeling because of the way it is built also the staffs friendliness makes you feel very acknowledged. Every food tasted amazing, appetizers should be cheaper due to quantify but the main dish was definitely worth the amount paid for. We had to wait more than usual for our dish but I have no complaints it’s only because of their small kitchen which I don’t mind, its a beautiful restaurant.

I came to this spot a couple of times when it was«Enzo’s» and quite enjoyed it. My most recent visit was a unique situation, where a large group of us descended on the restaurant on a weeknight, kind of suddenly. We had sent a note in advance to inform the staff, but apparently it was not seen, as email and URLs were changing because of the new management. The 2 staff were a bit harried when 20 of us strolled in 1.5 hours before closing, but shook off their initial shock, and stepped up to the plate with aplomb and good grace. Most of our party ordered drinks, only a few of us, myself included, ordered food. I had the Lobster Mac and Cheese, which was superb. I was not expecting a lot, due to the rush we had forced on these nice fellows, but was very happy with my meal. All of the others who ordered food told similar tales, and overall I think the staff acquitted themselves brilliantly under the circumstances. The Bistro itself is warm and intimate, with lovely original art on the walls, apparently painted by the chef, who paints as well as he cooks. I will definitely return for a proper dining experience.

Tried this small local bistro last week. We shouldn’t have waited so long. Food was FABULOUS! The chef/owner checked on our dinner and talked to us for awhile. Very friendly service and delicious pasta. Can’t wait to try your new menu next week. Thanks Tony.

Lately, it seems like Ben and I are eating out an awful lot. We couldn’t believe that we were completely overlooking this gem in our own neighborhood. We stopped in for a meal right after work a couple of weeks ago. There were a few other couples but it was a nice quiet atmosphere. The sign on the door said they were under new ownership. The service was very attentive and you can tell that they care and want to make their customers happy. We ordered a baked pasta dish with sausage and the lobster mac & cheese. Both came very quickly(under 30 mins) and both were great! The pasta was perfectly cooked, there was ample cheese, and plenty of meat in each dish. Our waters were full the entire meal(with out us asking) and when we were done, we were not waiting long for our server to get us the bill. This may not be the cheapest option in town, but it’s also not the most expensive and pretty good value for your money. For the two of us the final total came in around $ 75(drink, tax and tip inc). We would gladly go back again and recommend them to others!

Went with the family. The food was good. My one son had spaghetti and meatballs. He really liked them and the portion was very large. We took half home for him. My other son had spaghetti with butter. He also really liked. My wife and I had«more sophisticated» pastas. They were both excellent as well. The pasta was cooked to perfect(imho): just a touch of al dente. With no kids menu it’s more pricy for a family than other places but the food was well enjoyed. Our server was excellent. The atmosphere was great. It feels familiar and friendly but with nice paintings and the like pretty classy as well. It feels like a neighborhood place, which is welcome in our big box world. We will definitely go again.

We love to support small local restaurants and wanted to try one we had never been to. Even though the reviews for Enzo’s were mixed we wanted to give them a chance. NOTGOOD sadly. The soup was so salty that one of us couldn’t even eat it. The penne with sausage was just as salty. The waitress assured us the soup would be deducted from the meal — it wasn’t. Two dishes of penne barely touched and no clue that we weren’t satisfied. We will never return and definitely do not recommend.

This place can’t seem to decide what it is. A bar in the middle, and when you walk in, everyone stares. Our waitress was great until she flirted with the guy at the bar & we had to hear her life’s story, or that the music playing was from the show Golden girls. Ah well I couldn’t concentrate with the flat screen playing a house reno show. My guy wanted the night to be special, but it felt like we were at an over priced fast food Italian mall place. If you’re going to charge high end rates, then the food should be at least above average & the atmosphere and service high end as well. We wiped our hands on our paper napkins while politely declining the desserts.(We lucked out that we saw, on another table what they give you for the price) Return? Not a chance. A shame about the server as she started out so well.

This place would get 5 stars just for the super friendly staff, but the last two trips to Enzo’s left us cold. The food is actually quite great, but I’d only go here if you don’t mind waiting for your food — you might be in for a long night. From when you put in your order until you actually get your food can be quite the wait. You may want to sneak in a snack to tide you over until your meal comes — and even longer if they forget to bring your appies/salads. Sure it was a busy night, but they had lots of staff running around — it was the kitchen that was backed up. When the food eventually arrived, it was hot and delicious — just a tad late.

So while this is my second time visiting Enzo’s on 76, I’m still not too sure how I feel about it. I went last year when they first opened(it was absolutely packed) and had issues with their service/staff. This time, I went with four friends and it wasn’t busy at all. Most likely because it was September long weekend but we were there on a Saturday evening(around 8pm). Once again, service was odd — the waitress we had only brought us four menus(instead of five) and she didn’t know things like the price of the daily special. She also was giving us a bit of an attitude(maybe she was tired from a long night?). Either way, it was a bit off putting which makes me caution whether to recommend Enzo’s to anyone. It’s better than average but not good enough to say it’s good. And with issues with service twice? I dunno bro, I dunno. I do like how it is an intimate and cozy neighbourhood restaurant. It has a very dark, romantic vibe to it and interesting paintings along the wall(at least my friends were intrigued by them). We were starved after an intense game of TTR(yeah, that’s right I described a board game as being intense, deal with it). We each ordered our own entrée: — Linguini amatrician($ 16) — spicy capicollo with mushrooms and onions in tomato sauce. I ordered this and while it was good, I wasn’t that impressed. The pasta was cooked nicely but they were lacking in the mushrooms and onion department. Their dishes still don’t beat Café Amore nor the well-established Italian places in the west end(Tasty Tomato and Piccolino’s). — Penne con lagostino é pollo($ 19) — real lobster pieces, chicken, diced tomatoes and green onion over a cayenne cream sauce. I would have ordered this if my buddy hadn’t! Can’t go wrong with real lobster in your pasta. He loved it, absolutely couldn’t stop raving about it afterwards. — Pollo marsala($ 26) — pan seared chicken breast with sautéed mushrooms over a marsala cream sauce. Came with a starter salad and small penne pasta. — Penne bolognese($ 16) — plain and simple with their homemade meat sauce. As my friend said, she usually orders the bolognese to determine if the restaurant is worthy of pasta greatness. I guess it’s kind of like how you order the margherita pizza when you go to a pizzeria. — Rigatoni al forno($ 17) — baked rigatoni in a tomato sauce with a MASSIVE amount of mozzarella cheese. I had a small bite of my buddy’s dish and it was pretty tasty. I would definitely consider ordering it for myself if I were to come back again. He ate it all but I saw he left a bunch of cheese on his plate(like I said, there was a bit too much cheese smothering his pasta). Sorry for the lack of pictures but the lighting wasn’t ideal. On the bright(or better yet, dark side), it’s definitely a worthy spot for a romantic dinner.

Awesome! We went here with a party of 12 for my birthday & everyone loved it. It’s a cozy restaurant with a great vibe. The food was excellent, big portions & came out piping hot. The waitress Adrianna was attentive & great. It was also nice to see the Chef Tony out greeting tables, very classy. It was our first time there & we’ll all be back again. Highly recommend it.

We’ve been to Enzo’s a couple times and have really enjoyed it. Casual, cozy atmosphere. Friendly service. Great place for pasta and wine. The only thing that doesn’t fit is their cheapish slightly stale bread. If their food was accompanied by a ciabatta, foccacia or a rustic loaf, sooo much better. Also nothing with chocolate on the dessert menu other than ice cream…:(. Small but important details! That said, we’ll probably go back.

Oooo-eee, I am a girl who loves her pasta and I have always felt that an amazing bowl of carb-loaded goodness, hand made with love(and fantastic, simple Italian ingredient) can only be made better by having it served in an authentic, neighbourhood resto! Pretty much everyone that comes in to dine is greeted at some point in their meal by Enzo himself. It is such a wonderful thing to see people who love what they do. The simple, rustic dishes are just perfect to warm you from the inside and fill you up. The portion sizes for the pasta are huge! You will definitely have lunch for tomorrow. One of my favourite all time dishes is a Pollo Parmigiana — the chicken is juicy and tender, smoothed in a mountain of cheese and fresh tomato sauce. Oh my goodness, I ate until I almost burst it was so good. And then to end the night, Enzo suggested something I always forget about(but love so so much), lemoncello! The fantastic Italian lemon liqueur was the perfect end to a perfect night. I will most certainly will be back! Grazie Enzo!

I went to Enzo’s with a group of 14 for a birthday party — we took up half of this small restaurant. The service was absolutely spot-on. Considering how busy the restaurant was, I was really impressed with this. Sadly, the food was«just okay». and that sentiment was shared with a few members of my group. I’ll definitely go back for another try though.

I’ve been to Enzo’s a couple of times and tonight I even met«Enzo» himself. I really do enjoy going to this restaurant for a number of reasons. First, the portions are great, the coffee is good, and the TIRAMISU is amazing. I mean absolutely amazing. The only problem with Enzo’s is the service. I understand the point of creating an ambiance but every time I eat there the person who serves me seems stunned. There are only about 10 tables in the entire restaurant so it’s hard to believe that she could be that overwhelmed. It makes the service EXTREMELY slow. Thus, our order got messed up and we were forced to wait even longer. I just think the waitress could have done a better job. That being said Enzo did offer his apologies for the slow service and the miscommunication. He really did seem sincere and I will definitely be back because I honestly do love this place. I just think the wait time could be a bit shorter, we were waiting about an hour for our food.

Great addition to the neighbourhood! Had the vongole, delicious. The serving was huge, but it was so good, I ate it all! Enzo introduced himself and made us feel very welcome. Support local business. Support Enzo’s, you won’t be disappointed!

I went here for a lunch date with myself, and had a great experience. This is a new restaurant in McKernan/Belgravia and I was excited to try it out due to its proximity to my work and home. Who doesn’t want a cozy Italian restaurant in their neighbourhood? I had the chicken parmesan sandwich followed by a cappuccino. The sandwich was fabulous(not too saucy, not too cheesy); my coffee was also good especially because it arrived piping hot(my pet peeve = quasi-hot coffee.) I loved the rustic presentation of the food — on a wooden plank — with a side of a few olives. I was too stuffed for dessert but I hear that the tiramisu is to die for. The décor is unpretentious but stylish and I really liked the many photos on the wall. Enzo came by my table to say hi which added to the warm, welcoming atmosphere — it’s such a pleasure to dine at a restaurant where someone is clearly very passionate about what they are doing. I look forward to returning in the near future!

This feels like the kind of spot every neighbourhood should have: unpretentious setting, owner that makes a point of saying hello, and bang-on delicious food. Enzo’s is barely out of the gate and has already ticked off those three crucial boxes. Supper started with an Insalata Mista, Zuppa Del Giorno, and a glass of the house red(Masi — a sturdy, pleasing ruby one). Insalata Mista presented leafy greens, carrot ribbons, cuke slices and quartered tomatoes, all lightly dressed in tangy balsamic. My only complaint? The tomatoes could have been riper, but that is a common lament. Zuppa Del Giorno was a bracing and filling interpretation of mushroom soup served with a crisp crostino on top. Pasta Bolognese was absolutely lovely in its simplicity: rich meaty sauce and pleasingly tender noodles(you have the choice of long or short pasta) underneath. It was every bit as good as the meat sauce I’ve had at Italian mamas’ tables. Pescatore stole the show with its plethora of fresh seafood. The giant crab legs were even pre-cracked, saving us from a messy task. I wished I’d saved a slice of bread to mop up the glorious juices pooling at the bottom of the plate. Enzo’s tiramisu is made following his mother’s recipe and it shows. Delicate, creamy and not overly boozy. A few strawberry slices and a brisk mint leaf provided whiffs of pure gustatory heaven. I have enough food for a generous lunch tomorrow and I am deeply impressed with Enzo’s commitment to his restaurant. Put this one on your«must try» list.
