So Bad. Was there for breakfast on a Sunday morning, seated almost immediately. All downhill from there. Went to order food when the server finally came to the table — only to be told there was no potato so it would be replaced with a tomato instead. No options for toast or pancakes, just a slice of tomato as a replacement. After about 10 minutes, he came back to get the new order(crêpe omelete and kids meal with milk). 15 minutes later, we had to flag him down to BEG for the toddlers milk — he replied with«well what did she order?» we had to explain her order in detail — kids meal, with milk. He was too confused so we showed him on the menu. 5 minutes later, the milk arrived. The food FINALLY showed up after over an hour of waiting. The crêpe omlette was ok, but the toddlers meal was almost inedible. She had the chocolate brioche with strawberries and banana. The brioche was brown, yes, but it was so cinnamon tasting that she couldn’t eat it(like a cinnamon red hot), no chocolate flavour at all. The strawberries were incredibly mushy and overripe. All in all, we were there for 90 minutes, checked on once as he almost ran by the table. No refills or service, and what breakfast place actually runs out of potatos?! We will never go back to any Cora’s after this experience — I’d rather wait in the line at ihop and get good service and filling food.

This place used to be a lot better from our last visit which was a year ago. I ordered the beef panini with blue berry salad(special). But when my order came there was no salad but potatoes. I asked the server to exchange my potatoes for the salad. Instead I was given lettuce and cabbage with no dressing and fruit. Brutal. I will be going somewhere else next time.

Decided to give this a try despite the poor service reviews. Had a great breakfast. Large servings and great service. Will return again.

Service has definitely gone down hill since my last review. Our server completely forgot about us after we were seated and was left waiting for our meal for 35min . Wife had the new Clubhouse on the lunch menu and when it arrived — the plate was too hot to touch. Why? Because it sat under the heat lamp for 4 — 5min before coming to our table. Sat at the table for 45min with only a single cup coffee and no offer of a refill. Because the wife had the Clubhouse she wanted the dessert and was given a cookie without any of the other choices. But yet — the table across from us was offered the cookie, brownie or banana bread. If you have an hour to eat and dont expect much from the staff — then this is your kinda place. Food is excellent and to Cora standard, but the staff are junk

For the mistake the manager told us she would give us a percentage off my bill Funny thing is she charged me for my plate that I NEVER got because apparently I didn’t order it then tells me she’s giving me money off which ended up being the plate I never ordered Just unreal terrible service — specially that short hair blonde waitress if she’s still around stay away! This wasn’t they only time there was a second time we decided to try it again Never got my drink refilled I always had to get up and find my waitress to get my drinks filled or anything I needed DONTWASTEURTIMEHERE U may get good service but chances are it’ll SUCK I’m sure I missed a few more things that happened but u get th point Only pro– food is always good but it’s expensive Try another Cora location !

Had Theo’s Omelette which was very tasty. However the meal took over 30 min. So if you want good food and are ok to wait, this is the place to be.

The service was not terrible, the servers are quick and friendly. However, my problem with this particular location would never bring me back no matter how good the service. The fruit in this place all tastes gross and is not ripe enough. I can’t remember ever having a decent piece of fruit here. The rest of the food is good, nothing to write home about. THEKICKER — last time I was here I watched who I assume to be the manager in the back, a lady in a black shirt when everyone else was wearing blue or red. She was having a conversation with someone while clearing some half eaten plates, and she was eating people’s scraps. I thought this was so disgusting, I couldn’t help but watch her do it for several minutes. It so happened that from my seat I could see into the back room and she wasn’t even trying to hide it. This grossed me out so much that I am done with that location, we have been going to Tutti Frutti’s instead and everything there is far superior to Cora’s. Get some new management, or at least pay them enough to eat at home.

My wife and myself always like to go to Cora not only because of the good food, but also because of the story behind it. However, what happened this afternoon really disappointed us and we would like to believe it isn’t part of Cora’s standards. We went to Cora today and after the bill came, we wanted to use a gift card we had. Unfortunately, it had recently expired and neither us nor the ladie who was at the till were aware of it. After swiping the gift card, she noticed that and told us she needed to call the manager once she had already used the card. The manager came and he was so rude. He told us the card was expired and he couldn’t accept it even after we asked him if he would make an exception because we hadn’t noticed it had an expire date. He wasn’t courteous at all, and just kept showing us the expire date, so we just said ok and how much we should pay. The chief problem was that the staff had swiped the card already and apparently the manager couldn’t void the transaction. He then started to be really rude to the ladie and told her that he was going to take the money from her paid cheque. My wife and I were so shocked, and so we told him we didn’t want her to pay for that. I told the manager that his customer service was horrible and he was a terrible manager. We also said we couldn’t believe he preferred to lose a costumer than to accept the $ 10 card. We then took ten dollares out of our wallet and gave to the staff because we didn’t want anything to be discounted from her. He then took the money and didn’t say a word. Bottom line is my wife and I decided to not come back to Cora since we obviously do not like to be mistreated nor cannot stand injustice.

I can’t explain how part of your meal is hot and the other cold on the same plate. I order eggs over easy, hash browns and toast. The eggs were cold rest was hot There must be a problem with sonething in the kitchen as I noticed the waitress would pull plates off the heating table then lift them right under the heat lamp before they served the table. Setvice was great

This location, not my favourite. We were with a bunch of friends having brunch. The servers were just not on their game. I had coffee spilled all over my place setting and the server ignored it. No apology. No napkins offered. When my food finally came out, the server fumbled with the plate, the food landed on the table, was scooped up and put back on the plate. Again ignored and no apology. The food was okay. I have had much better at our favourite Cora’s on the North side(being re-built after fire, can’t wait until it re-opens!) Everyone else at the table had a decent experience. I was just mortified that this kind of experience was acceptable.

Always a great breakfast here. Despite the lineup, we are quickly seated and enjoying a latte while waiting for the delicious holiday wish to come to the table.

I took my sisters niece and nephews here. The first sister had hair on top of her eggs. Lucky she could see it. The next sister had hair cooked in the egg took a bite and had the hair strung through her teeth as she pulled it from her mouth. The good thing about this place is the wifi so i could write this review.

My 3 year old son and I had lunch here last week and I have to say while average food wise the service was amazing. I wanted the soup but hesitated when I was told the only soup was a beef gumbo. I explained how I am not a fan at all of spicy food. The waitress went and got me a small sample of the soup to try. It was in fact very good and I felt so thankful for the sample. If your looking for a good bite of food I would suggest this place.

The food is consistent and pretty good for your dollar. I’ve ate at better Cora’s restaurants, but not bad since its in my neck of the woods and don’t have to travel far. There’s never a long wait and the service is not bad. Better breakfast then at McDonald’s or Burger King :)

I have really tried to like this Cora’s location, I really have, but after another horrendous experience I am done. The hostess was delightful but our server was extremely rude(a fact that I think the hostess knew and was trying to make up for). When I asked the server questions about the salads on the menu she actually rolled her eyes! The food was definitely not up to Chez Cora standards! I would recommend trying another location, this one is not worth a visit!

Cora’s is more of a three and a half star kinda place, but as the average is only three stars right now, I’ll give them a fourth. Normally, chains don’t get more than a three star from me, but that’s because the food doesn’t usually taste particularly distinctive, it’s not particularly fresh, and the food tends to rely too much on salt for flavour. But Cora’s doesn’t have any of those problems — it has others. For instance, when you order a waffle with cream, the cream overwhelms the waffle. And the potatoes were a bit underdone. But I found their hollandaise to have a smooth consistency and zippy lemon flavour. And they didn’t poach my egg in one of those microwave poachers, unlike every other chain breakfast spot or cheap diner in town. And the kitchen kindly placed my Eggs Benedict on a bagel in lieu of an English Muffin at no extra charge. It appears that location has overcome its growing pains to become a fine breakfast option.

Our server was super nice and seemed really busy but she was still prompt with drinks and orders. Management, however, I will say something else. First of all, there is a CHILD running around the kitchen and restaurant. I will assume it is the child of the management people but that is totally unprofessional. He is hiding around corners and walking about the restaurant freely and going in and out of the kitchen. For a family owned place, it might be more common, but this is a FRANCHISE. Totally unacceptable. I ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedict. I absolutely LOVE poached eggs and of course it came out hard when I ordered SOFT. One of the managers actually brought us our food and I asked him what he thought that was when I cut into the egg. He said«medium» and I said well I ordered soft. He simply walked away and never came back. No offer to exchange it or anything. How extremely rude. My french toast was super mushy in the middle and burnt on the outside. I’m a HUGEFAN of french toast and actually asked for a side order of which I merely nibbled at because it was so horrible. I love Cora’s for their consistency and delicious food, but never again will I ever go to this place. Except for the logo, this place is NOTHING that I think represents a Cora’s establishment.

It seems like they are still working out some of the opening issues. Staff are hustling around like crazy. But it was a nice breakfast. DS had a huge ham and Swiss cheese crêpe that overhung the edge of the plate. It was very good. My omelet was good, wheat toast very nice. It would be nice if they followed the tradition of some of the other locations and had the menus available for those standing in line, because it speeds things up if folks can study that huge menu before sitting down. All in all, a nice addition to the Northeast.

This little gem just opened up in Clareview a few weeks ago. I thought I would wait a few weeks before going to avoid long lines and the initial excited rush. Went there for breakfast with a friend the other day and it was amazing. Never been to a Cora before so it was quite a treat. Way too much fruit for me to finish though, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing! Good service, they’re doing their best with a busy opening start. Glad to see something useful put where the old Roger’s was.

We recently discovered Cora in Clareview! What can I say? We were excited to have one so close to home. So, last week we headed over there for breakfast. They had just opened, and that was a little obvious as they’re still playing with how different things work(ie coffee machine for moccachino). Everyone seemed friendly and happy to be there(with the exception of the one lady, we’ll assume she was having a rough morning). We weren’t rushed, interrupted too much, or left wondering where our server was located. We left with a great first impression, and can’t wait to come back!
