Danny Hacksaw’s Pub ‘n’ Grub

My mom and I went looking for an affordable steak sandwich tonight, and found Danny Hacksaw’s by accident. Happiest accident ever! The service was astounding (June is AMAZING!!!) and the place is clean, and the food… Oh man. Local, everything is made in house, and it’s so affordable not to mention freaking delicious! Two beers, and two steak sandwiches for under $ 40!
I’ll be there again, hands down. So so delicious!

What a great steak sandwich, got mine with a Caesar salad, good portion, free pool on Sunday’s. Pleasant service. Definitely a good old neighbor hood pub. We will be back

Not too shabby.
Everything one would expect from a little local pub.
Dated, eclectic décor. Pool tables. Dart boards.
Not too busy tonight. Just my buddy, myself and maybe 10 men who, according to our friendly young server, were part of a pool league. Sure. As one reviewer noted. Our server snuck out for a few smoke breaks. But she checked on us before she stepped out each time. As it was clearly a slow night… I hardy care. It’s local pub. Not high end couisine with high end prices.
Beers were cold.
Food was prompt enough (as it should be given the lack of patrons).
Started with a pound of dill pickle wings. They were indeed quite good.
I chased the wings with their Unbelievable Chicken Sandwich.
It was believable. Decent. but not amazing. Buddy had a burger and he was quite pleased.
All in all… it was as good as I’d expected. If I lived nearby… and perhaps were at a different point in my life… I could hang out here. As it is… I may return. But I’m in no particular rush.

When they’re on their game, the servers at Danny Hacksaw’s are usually pretty good. Their service isn’t flawless all the time, but they’re normally on the ball and, hey, to err is human!
I have a gripe with the kitchen, though. When it’s posted outside that the kitchen is open until 9:30 p.m., then what would possess them to shut down the grill sometime between 8:50 p.m. and 8:55 p.m. There was no indication on the sign that the kitchen would be open with only a limited, fryer-​friendly menu. This was a bit of a disappointment as I had driven all the way from downtown for a bite to eat, but I guess stuff happens.

Found this little place totally by accident. Went in played a bunch of pool and enjoyed some cocktails. I was really impressed by the service our server was completely on the ball and very friendly.
Definitely plan on going back to try their food.
All I can say is it could use a bit of an updated look inside, but still a god friendly neighborhood place to hang out.

Danny Hacksaws offers a low-​key atmosphere with casual retro-​style décor that makes it easy to unwind any time. Three well-​maintained Triple-​E League pool tables and no distracting VLTS are major pluses! Karaōke on Saturday nights from 9:00pm to 1:30am is always a fun time to let-​loose and every song is automatically entered in a $ 25 food-​voucher prize draw. Great restaurant for large groups of people and birthday parties. Excellent daily specials. Danny Hacksaws is a superior establishment that offers excellent quality food and friendly service to Millwoods.

Danny Hacksaw’s is such a great neighbourhood pub. The people make you feel at home & the staff are unbelievably friendly.
The food is fantastic! We never miss a Wednesday wing night. The wings are large & plump. They will cook them any way you want & depending on your mood that day, there are a ton of different flavours.
Other things that I like are the deep fried dill pickles, zucchini sticks & of course their steak sandwich.
I have tried a few different burgers & they taste homemade & at a great price. I like the mushroom burger the best.
All & all, I have to give this pub 5 stars. The friendly atmosphere, food & drinks make it a «go to» place where you will always leave happy

Service is great and they are great to groups and are willing to do what it takes to make their customers happy. Prices are good, the food is amazing and they make the best caesar salad I’ve ever had. I love how kids are allowed until 9:00 PM, makes it a fun and unique place to go for dinner and a game of pool if you’ve got older kids.
