Our son has been in this Bullyproof program for over 2 years now, and we love the changes we’ve seen in him since the beginning. Jeff has a way to pull the best out of each child while building on their weaknesses. As one of the other parents pointed out in their review, the circle time the kids have is such a great opportunity for the children to share their experiences with bullying and it really let’s kids know they are not alone. Every few months, the kids have«Gracie Game Day», and must earn points at home if they want to attend. Points are based on chapter topics such as respect, citizenship, manners, responsibility & others, which the children are eager to score big points(huge for character building). I can’t say good enough things about this club. 5 stars for sure!

There are so many ‘experts’ willing to provide you with belts and stripes to feed your ego. At Edmonton Gracie Jiu jitsu you leave your ego at the door and come to learn. What you learn and earn is life changing. Those who criticize this honest hardworking approach are justifying why their past is better than what they might be. Why would you limit yourself this way? Fear. Fear that you may have wasted your time. Rather face the fear and make your own decision. Be your own person. Don’t follow some ‘guru’ blindly. If you embrace this and it’s not for you, what have you lost? Some time and a little money. If you sit back and criticize, you show small mindedness and fear, and worst of all an inability to learn. I have trained Gracie Combatives for 17 mos and worked with Jeff Greekas twice, recently. I am almost 50. 30 years ago I was training with the Canadian Olympic wrestling team. I feel qualified to say that this is the real deal. You won’t regret the time you spend here.

My son(5 years old) and myself have been attending classes at Edmonton Gracie Jiu-Jitsu now for about a month and a half, so we’re fairly new students. First off, I have to say the Bullyproof program in which my son is enrolled is outstanding. He really enjoys the class and is always eager to attend. Jeff is really engaging and keeps the class interesting for the kids. I also love the circle time Jeff and the assistant instructors spend with the kids. They learn focus, respect, discipline, ethics, values, how to contribute in a positive manner to their community and society and generally how a good human being should behave. Equally important, they learn how to deal with real life situations(both physical and social). Whether the students are young or old, Jeff’s connection to them and his delivery of the course material is fantastic. For young students like my son, he discusses topics and explains things in ways the kids will understand. In the adult classes, like the Combatives program I am in, Jeff is able to break down moves very technically and notices the fine details where we need to «tweak» our technique a bit. As a newbie to Jiu-Jitsu, I was really amazed at how a very tiny change in positioning or technique can make all the difference in the successful execution of a move. Finally, I can’t say enough good things about Edmonton Gracie Jiu-Jitsu as an organization. Again, being new to Jiu-Jitsu, joining an organization /class can be intimidating. You never know what the general atmosphere or attitude will be. This is another area where Jeff, all the assistant instructors and even the students shine. We were welcomed and felt a sense of belonging from the first day we attended class and really noticed the energetic, encouraging and positive atmosphere. After the first class my wife and I discussed the day on our trip home. We both knew right away that the Bullyproof program was the right program for our son and that Edmonton Gracie Jiu-Jitsu was the right organization for our family. I highly recommend Edmonton Gracie Jiu Jitsu to anyone considering a grappling style of martial art.
