Food was«ok.» Could be better. But kinda expected out of a fast food. Amount of servings were not ok though, the white guy before me had a «mountainful» of serving like it was heaping. But when it came to mine, it was just a small amount though we ordered the same thing, teriyaki chicken. I guess the cook prefers to impress Caucasians with a heapful of servings than being fair to Asians as well. Then I ordered brown rice which was advertised as $ 1.65 a plate. The guy behind the counter was about to give it to me when the cook interrupted and said it’s $ 3.50 per plate. I told her it’s $ 1.65 on the menu, she must’ve mistaken it for the white rice. But she said it’s $ 3.50. So I didn’t bother and asked the cashier to give me back my money. Bad experience for me being Asian. Should’ve went to the Greek joint beside it.

My hunny and I have been eating at this Edo 2 – 3 times a month for the past 3 years of living near the mall and we have found them to be nothing but consistent each time we go. It’s always cooked fresh right in front of you and they fill up the plate enough that we don’t feel bad spending those few extra dollars here versus paying less for something deep fried. The staff are friendly and handle the lines well that can sometimes be found here as it is one of the busiest places to eat in the mall. I don’t think we have ever gone past the ten minute wait mark even with three or four people ahead of us. If your looking for something healthier then a burger and hungry enough to need a big portion of food Edo will definitely not disappoint!

Edo Japan is probably my husband’s very favorite fast food to grab if we’re shopping in the mall and we’re starving… What he loves — being able to douse and I mean douse his food in hot sauce. What I love? That I can order a beef sukiyaki with no rice and they give me a mountain of vegetables to replace the rice — mushrooms, cabbage, broccoli, carrots… Mmm… I can taste it now! I have to admit I do find them slightly on the pricey side for fast food… but I usually have an Entertainment Book or SUTP book coupon on me for B1G1 Free with drink purchase… which makes me cheerful to pay $ 10 for our meal for 2! It always tastes fresh and healthy — it’s prepared right in front of you — so there are no surprises. And of the 20 – 30 times we’ve eaten there… I’ve never gotten a bad piece of meat — never fatty or grissely or anything like that… so I figure that’s pretty good! If you like teriyaki style grilled meats and veggies served on rice… Edo will not disappoint a ravaged mall shopper :-)
