I recently took 2 of my children(ages 15&11) & met up with other friends at the Fred Broadstock pool for the 1st time. We were able to get the picnic table on the grass which was closest to the pool which was ideal as there was a table, shade, sun & you could see the pool from there! The only negative about that spot was the boys with the bad basketball skills as there is no net to keep wayward free throws from rocketing into the grassy area! When we 1st arrived there was lane swim available which was great for my one friend who wanted to use the swimming in place of a gym visit. I was more excited when it was taken down to allow for us to go off the higher of the 2 diving boards! There was also a separate kiddies pool off to the side where apparently their used to be even higher diving towers years ago. Too bad I missed those There is also a nice decking area with lounge chairs if you prefer to dip then tan as well as a concession for snacks and a hot dog stand opened close to 1pm the day we were there. Definitely a great place to cool off and/or top off your tan, have a picnic & enjoy the outdoors!
