Always Clean Always Helpful and Very Affordable. I drive from the west end to do my laundry here. Its worth the trip, and by far the best laundromat in Edmonton

I went to KC Coin Laundry when is washing machine broke down and I was very impressed. I was a little wearily because the location isn’t the best but inside its clean with plenty of relatively new washers and driers. Since I had never been to a laundromat the owner helped explain how much change I would need and even helped me put my clothes in the washer. There’s a small table to sit at while you wait for your things to be washed as well as magazines to read. There are hampers provided and large tables to fold clothing as well. They sell detergent also, but I recommend bringing your own to save money. Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely go back.

I called this laundromat because of the reviews on Unilocal, and it was reasonably close. I called to see if they were open. A cheerful and friendly sounding man aid that they were open, and not very busy. When I got there and began bringing my bags in, the man from the phone came over smiling and gave me a cart and helped me load them. I had blankets and several load of clothes. He showed me which machines to use so that I got the best bang for my buck! He then starting helping me fill the machines! The facility was extremely clean and had nice shiny, super clean new looking machines. The man was frequently tidying, cleaning. I found the machines worked well also. The price to wash and dry I thought was very reasonable. They also have a drop off service. I left with my clothes feeling really badly that I had chosen this place. That night at 9PM I got a call from a number I didn’t recognize. I normally don’t answer numbers I don’t recognize, but something told me to answer this one. There was a man on the other end, asking if I had called his laundromat today and did I have a white hat? I immediately recognized the man’s voice from the laundromat, and said I had. He said he was cleaning the machines for the night, when he found a load of laundry. I immediately realised I’d forgotten that one load in the washer. He said he’d dry them for me and I could pick up in the morning. When I got there in the morning, his wife was there folding clothing and gave me a beautiful smile. He explained that when he found my clothes, he knew I’d been the last to use that machine. So he went through his phone to see if he could find my number on it. They were such nice people that this is definitely the place in going to use in the future when I have a washing machine break down.

Update: The self serve laundry continues to be impeccable and affordable but I have begun to treat myself to their wash and fold service as well. At 99 cents a pound, I can get a large garbage bag’s worth of multiple sets of sheets washed, neatly folded, and ready to go for $ 15. Well worth it.

This was my first visit to KC Coin Laundry and I am so glad that I went here after reading Brittany H’s postive review. Let me preface my review by saying that I live downtown, but the longer drive out to Dickensfield was worth it for the cleanliness of the establishment and the wonderful customer service. After years of using grungy communal laundry facilities, I have become paranoid about getting other people’s body and pet har all over my clothing and bedding. Thankfully the facility is bright and the machines, tables, and carts at KC Coin Laundry looked very clean and well maintained. The purpose of my visit on a Tuesday afternoon was to wash 2 queen size Korean mink blankets and a king size polyester duvet. Luckily, I was the only customer there when I showed up. Seeing that I had a very 40-week-pregnant belly, Leah(?sp) the attendant was so gracious and helped me with everything from opening the front door for me, loading my blankets into the washer, dispensing the detergent and showing me the settings, to helping me fold my blankets out of the dryer and load my blankets in my car! This totally went above and beyond my expectations for customer service!!! I used 2 of the larger commercial washers and one of the extra large washers for my stuff. The cost of washing and drying was just under $ 20 which I think is reasonable. The blankets and duvet seemed almost dry when we folded them up, but by the time I got home, they felt more damp and like they could have used more time in the dryer. As I was only comfortable using the low heat setting on the dryer for the blankets, I would have needed to stay a lot longer to get them completely dry, so I was overall satisfied with the level of dryness I got. I just ended up spreading the out at home for a couple of hours to finish drying. I was pleasantly surprised by such a positive first time experience here thanks to Leah and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others. I will definitely go back!

After having our washer eat our mattress cover and some comforters I decided I would take our blankets to the local laundromat. I found KC Coin Laundry by reading a review here on Unilocal! It just happened to be around the corner from me. They opened up in November and definitely deserve 5 stars for their cleanliness and customer service. The lady who runs it was an absolute sweetheart and was cleaning each machine after every use. She was also right there with change if you needed it. The 4 loaders are $ 6 dollars, the triple loaders were $ 5 and single loaders were $ 3. The dryers were .25cents for 7 minutes. I went on a Sunday(today) and got there at 1pm right as they opened(coincidence) and glad I did because by 1:30pm every machine in the place was in use. I will definitely be coming back to KC Coin Laundry.
