Le Carrefour

Le Carrefour is a French language book and music store located in La Cite Francophone, the French cultural centre in the Bonnie Doon area. If you speak French, this is where you will find the largest selection of books, magazines, DVDs, and CDs from Quebec and France. The music CD selection has a variety of styles from top French language artists, including some local acts. The magazines cover a variety of topics from entertainment to lifestyle. For books, which takes up the majority of the small store, there are novels, children’s books, current events, and pretty much every topic you would expect to find in a standard bookstore, just in French. Some of the books are translations, while others are originally in French. I am a huge fan of French language music, and I can usually find my favourite artists here first. Le Carrefour also sells tickets to local French cultural events and concerts.
