Little Strand Salon

I love this place! I love the girls that work there and the job that they do! I have never been disappointed in the color, cut or style! You need to try this place out!

Ladies of Edmonton! Let Little Strand be your new salon! This place is adorable and girls working here have years of experience under their belt. Hailing from a pretty popular salon in the city, the women that opened Little Strand did so to have more freedom to develop and practice their love for hair design. My go to girl Marianne has been the only person to touch my hair for the past 8 years (minus that one drunk night that I let my friend give me bangs… but besides that.) and I have followed her to every salon she has worked at. It is here that I feel like she is in her element and in an environment that makes hair styling less of a job and more fun for both her and her clients. Everybody that was getting their hair done was having a great time and really enjoying the process.
Which brings me to another point. This place is tiny! They have lots of chairs set up, but compared to the bigger salons, this place is mini. For me this isn’t a bad thing, and it kind of feels like the sort of salon that woman used to go to gab and gossip with one another. At one point the lady in the chair beside me was passing around her phone so that people could see photos of her granddaughter. If you want your salon experience to be a zen one, proceed with caution. You might find yourself opening up in a way you didn’t think you would!
The final product was everything I had asked for, and I owe that to my superstar Marianne. Prices are comparable to that of a high end salon, and the results are worth every penny. The location is in Capilano, just off 98^th avenue with plenty of parking available.
