As far as convenience stores go this one is pretty decent. The selection is good and the store is well organized making it easy to find things. They offer some great deals on candy and drinks like 3 chocolate bars for $ 3.33 but your day to day household stuff like paper towels or a can of soup will always be way overpriced. The staff are nice people but not super chatty. I believe some of the guys who work the late evenings to have limited english skills. The manager or owner here(not sure who she is exactly but she has some sort of supervisory role) is extremely efficient but I have come in a few times when she was training new people and she seemed to be riding them a little hard. I really don’t like to come in and see supervisors reprimanding staff where customers can see. Not having a gas bar means you need to establish a good relationship with the community to develop repeat customers and this Macs has obviously done that so kudos to them. Next time I am in the neighborhood again I will be sure to stop in to quench my mint aero fix.

I have been going to this Mac’s store for many years and recently has been going downhill. The«service» is an absolute joke. When I recently accidentally used a 10 pence instead of a dime the clerk literally threw it back at me instead of pointing out my mistake. Today when we went for slurpees the cashier was speaking into her bluetooth headpiece. I was not aware that this was a now an accepted customer service convention! There is also no public washroom. If you need something and there’s nothing else open go there, but otherwise I suggest you go somewhere else.

Oh, Mac’s, you’ve always been there for me. Especially when I’ve needed the most random things at 2 in the morning. Mac’s is always great in the summer since the have the best slurpees in town. Sadly, I lost my sweet tooth over the years and I’m just not into slurpees anymore, but I still have fond memories of running to the nearest Mac’s with my sisters and grabbing a slurpee on a 30 degree day. Great times!

I have to give it to macs. It stands out amongst convenience stores and actually has a lot of things to offer with a good selection. But that’s not why I am writing about it. Mac’s has the best slurpees. Summer season is right around the corner and Macs is the best place for slurpees. They have the best flavors and the most to choose from. I hate going to a place for a slush and they have nothing to choose from or the worst flavors. Mac’s never lets me down.

There isn’t many convenient stores around in this immediate area which makes this one busy store! You’ll be hard pressed to find a time where this store is empty except maybe in the early morning hours. The staff is not very personable but they are efficient which makes up for it. In terms of prices, they are standard for a convenient store, foodstuff and canned foods are overpriced.
