Bathrooms are amazing for McDonalds. I can’t eat much of the menu at McD’s, and I haven’t dined here in a while, but had to pit stop on the way by. There was a manager or public relations person greeting folks coming and going, and she was lovely! Genuine, interested and engaged. Not something you expect in fast food.

I’ve only ever hit up the drive thru at this location for a Happy Meal for the chitlins and a coffee for myself, but never had a problem. It’s at a fairly busy interchange so coming to and from this location can be limited depending on the time of day and the direction you are travelling. No playspace here for offspring to burn off energy on a frosty winter’s day so we’ll keep the West Ed and Stony Plain Road locations as our main haunts. Be sure to collect the sticker on the side of your coffee cup to trade in for a free medium coffee after purchasing 7(used to be 6 but c’est la vie).

The service at this location is hit or miss. The drive through is what I use most often and I have had to write a few complaint letters to the franchise owner. They NEVER offer you ketchup or anything else in the drive thru. They are content with you driving away and when you notice you forgot to ask for ketchup or something else you are angry that they didn’t even offer it as a reminder. I’ve had bad luck inside as well. I ordered a combo for breakfast and it seemed unusually expensive. I looked at my bill and was charged for a large coffee, not the medium that I asked for. I spoke with the manager and all she said was she would talk to the person who took my order, didn’t even offer to make it right. I only go here so often because it’s very close to home and it’s convenient. If I’m heading south on 149 street in the morning I prefer the 87 Avenue location, the service Is a little slow there but their prices are actually a little lower for breakfast.

Surprisingly one of the nicer McD’s I’ve been to in recent memory. Parking is available on the side. The interior is the McCafe themed, but with more white tiles and less dark wood. There is a nice boardroom-style table in the middle. I looked around, but there are no electrical sockets here. Guess they don’t want students loitering. And yes, my cappuccino was tasty.
