This Reitmans has a good selection of Petite, Plus, and regular sized clothing. With Boxing week sales of extra 50% off the last red sticker price, there was lots of deals to be had. I found sweaters, tops, pants, workout clothes, socks, tights, jewelry, boots, pj sets and shoes all on sale! I liked the petite section was a decent size so different styles of pants and jeans. I had a handful of pants to bring to the change room. Nice and neat without a bunch of clothes left over from the previous people. Unfortunately, many of the pants didn’t fit me well but I did find one pair, and a long sweater that would be great with leggings. It’s nice they have clothes for work, casual, or exercising. The sale prices are good and the quality is ok but in my opinion not worth paying regular price for, especially the footwear. The associate who rang in my purchase stated the price of each item which was nice to ensure the correctness. Will continue to shop at this Reitmans.

In the last few years I have noticed Reitmans slowly and quietly trying to rebrand themselves to appeal to younger women. I had not shopped there since when I lived in Leduc but I happened to notice this store on my way to the Claireview LRT station and decided to pop in and take a look. This location is huge but appears not to have an adequate amount of stock to fill up the space. There are huge gaps in between racks and sections and while the whole store may be on sale right now for 20% off I don’t feel that was the reason for the lack of selection. The clothes are still really nice and the quality justifies the price you pay. I have never come across a store personally with a better quality dress pant that was equal or less to the price you pay at Reitmans. Some of the shirts were a bit odd… I came across a white t shirt with blue lines that had«pretty little blue lines» written on the front. It seemed like it belonged more in Old Navy or Aeropostale and personally I think if you are going to put writing on the front have something that is meaningful or whimsical and not just the description of the shirt. The sales team here are pretty solid. The girl working was very friendly when I came in the door and quick to get up to the till when she saw that I was ready to pay. Some of the ladies in women’s clothing stores can be a bit overwhelming whether it’s by trying to upsell or push the sales so I was grateful to be able to shop in peace tonight. I will probably come back if I happen to be on foot in the area again… I would like to see whether the stock issue was really a lack of product to go on the racks or if it can just be chalked up to doing seasonal changeovers.

I will say that a good portion of my clothes come from Reitmans. I like the fact they have a petites section so I can actually find pants that don’t drag on the floor behind me. However, sometimes it’s a hit and miss for me at the store. I guess that comes down to the current fashion trends at the time. For the most part I know I can usually go in and come out with something — which I don’t know is a good thing or not. Whether it’s for your work attire, casual clothes or clothes for bumming around, Reitmans has it. They also have a Plus section which has clothes that are the same as the regular and petite options. Prices are reasonable and can normally get a good deal on sales items. The change rooms are clean(no dust bunnies on the floor here) and spacious. And the staff is certainly help not only to place your items in a fitting room, but also to lend their suggestions for paring outfits and accessories.
