Safeway Wine & Spirits

This place is okay, good clean are with wide space. The selection could be better for a franchise, but AMAZING air mile deals that everyone should check-​out, not the negative side some of the cashier are extremely rude, too bad could of been a could one

I know I’ve been living under a rock because I had no idea this store existed and I go past here regularly. You know it’s going to be a liquor store with decent stock when you walk through the doors and mini shopping carts are there for you. Score!
Their selection is impressive. Regional, domestic and imported beer and spirits are there for you and neatly displayed around the perimeter of the store. The wine section is in banks in the middle of the store, which is where I hang out. I was pleased to see my Naked Grape Shiraz was decently priced — just over $ 10 a bottle. And the prices displayed on the shelves include GST. I was delighted to find they carry Fonesca Tawny Port as well as Fonseca Aged Tawny Port (20 years) too!
The staff where very friendly and I was asked by 3 gals if I needed help. I did ask them if they carried a certain vodka I’ve been searching for — they didn’t. However, I did learn this store had been at this location for over 6 years. Who knew?
I’ll be going back to Safeway Wine & Spirits, not only for the selection and price but also for the fabulous gals who work there.
