After seeing a movie on a Saturday morning/afternoon with my kids(5 and 4 years old) and their father I for once decided I would say YES to them playing games in the arcade. You dont use coins or cash in the machines, instead at the arcade counter you purchase credits that they will load and give to you which you then use to swipe(like a mastercard or debit, etc.) at any of their machines. Each machine will say how much it costs in credits to play. There were I believe 4 or 5 different purchase options for credits which started at -$ 5.00 for $ 5.00 worth of credits up to -$ 25.00 for $ 40.00 worth of credits. I decided the four of us would all share the $ 25 for $ 40 in credits to play whatever we wanted at free range. Every time you play a game you want to do good and earn tickets which are automatically loaded to your card depending on what a certain game is offering and how well you do. When you choose to cash in your tickets you cash them in for prizes available at their arcade counter and depending how many tickets you have and how many you need for any certain prize. Some prizes you needed as little as 15 tickets for small things such as a pencil for example and some better prizes you needed approx 1000 for a small nerf dart gun. They had a good variety of games I would say and cost anywhere from $ 0.50 to $ 2.00 in credits per play. The problem was alot of the games I would swipe my credits card and it would start without me even realizing it started and same with it ending! It was almost always over way too quick and would earn me little if any tickets. I suggest only to play and use the arcade for pure fun! Do not get fixated on a certain prize or anything stupid such as wasting a whole bunch of money you shouldn;t have. So between the four of us the $ 25 for $ 40 credits lasted us approx. 30 mins to an hour give or take. How many tickets did we end up earning… approx. 200 – 220 give or take! Not much… considering a ring pop candy was 100 tickets alone just to get an idea of how it’s not worth it to get fixated but just for FUN! We were actually lucky though which I didn’t realize how lucky til after we were all done but my daughter had found a card on the ground earlier when it was just her and I in the arcade area(she couldnt sit still through our movie so I had taken her out for a walk) and I asked an employee to check it for us. He said no credits on it but Alot of tickets! 1200 to be exact! We ended up cashing in all our tickets and got a bunch of little things for the kids including one of the small nerf guns for 1000 tickets. The nerf gun at retail price is only about $ 13.00 to help compare things for you. I would recomend having some fun here before/after/during, etc. a movie just for fun but to set a price of money your willing to spend first and stick to it.
