I always love going to Soda Jerks, no matter the location. I’ve only ever been to Namao and the West End, but the servers are always awesome and they always have a great sense of humor and a great disposition. The burgers are fantastic and the Poutine was exactly what I was craving. Thanks Soda Jerks, you never disappoint.

I wrote a very bad review of the St Albert location. Sofa Jerk’s head office refunded my meal costs and sent me a 40 $ gift certificate and asked me to try a different location. It took about 6 months before I could work up any interest in trying this burger place agaiin, the first experience was that bad. Have to say the Namao location turned it around. We were the only customers at two on a Tues afternoon. Service was friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly and the quality was very good. Still not completely convinced that two burgers, fries and two drinks is worth 42 $ but at least we both really enjoyed our meals. The Wed special where the burger, soda and fries is 10 $ seems like a real good deal. Food and service were good enough that I would be willing to pay full price for the occasional meal here. I would definitely go back again on a Wed as price for quality seems like a real good deal on that discount day. Would now happily recommend this place to friends.

Went for the first time tonight — «Build Your Own Burger» on Wednesday. ½ lb. patty with more topping than you can decide on in your choice of bun, donut, waffle, sourdough bread, etc. $ 10 — served with home make fries and it was great. That being said, if you order bacon tell them to cook it or you may get is warmed through — definitely not crisp! Fries are excellent. Had a «kids» shake” because their portions are crazy huge. Chocolate peanut butter is quickly becoming a fav for me – peanut butter cuts the sweet of the chocolate and it was REALLY thick. The regular price menu is high in my opinion. Guess there are more expensive places but $ 15 and up to $ 33 for a burger is a little much. Give it a try and see for yourself. I will be going back!

I like this location better than the west end and St. Albert. It brighter and staff is friendlier. Service was a bit slow for there only being 5 tables. The onion rings came out burnt. But this is typical for the chain. The wings are a rip off for ½lb you get 6. They weren’t even that hot. The bacon on the burgers was hardly cooked. You would think for the wait time it would be. The staff are pretty much on the ball.

Came to this location with 11 people but arrived at 5 pm on a Sat. since they don’t take reservations. They were able to push a few tables together for us. I have been to Soda Jerks many times but it was my first time at this location. I really enjoyed the experience here as it feels new and the service and food was great. The server and food was fast, we got all our food quickly. I heard the adult milkshakes are fabulous and tried a sip of my friend’s as I knew I wouldn’t be able to finish my meal and my milkshake. It tasted great! My bacon cheeseburger salad was excellent, you get a full beef patty with two slices of pickles, melted cheddar and two slices of bacon on top of assorted greens and thousand island dressing on the side. The best part of it was that it came in a stainless steel bowl! The build your burger option is always a popular choice. You can select your choice of patty, type of bun, cheese, sauce/condiments, topping and comes with lots of fries. A friend ordered mini donuts with a fried egg in her burger. It looked super weird but it’s lots of fun to see what creation you can come up with. If you are in the area, be sure to try this place out!

Not as good as the original westend location. Friendly staff. Food quality no where as good as the others store. So much competition in the area you would think they can do a better burger

I love the fun atmosphere. Good retro music playing and the décor was fun. The staff was friendly and attentive. Love the huge portions of food. I was disappointed about the chocolate covered bacon. It didn’t taste good. It was missing that salt and sweet taste I was looking for. Everything thing else was great.

The concept is awesome. Soda selections like no where else, quirky burgers, the option to create your own using unconventional things(waffles, chocolate bacon, donuts instead of buns. Etc…). But honestly the taste doesn’t match the price. Each entire is $ 15.5+ average and tastes like something from Wendy’s, which isn’t bad but for the price you would expect something else. The milkshakes seem to be where most of the creative tasty effort goes, ours was $ 8 and super thick/delicious. I would go again for a shake, but not for a meal.

The place was renovated with the 50’s style with a splash of modern colouring. Nice atmosphere and clean. The server was great, high energy and attentive. The service was good since our came quickly. It was quiet when we were there Friday @ 5pm, missed the Friday night rush. The burgers were delicious, fries were perfect with the side salad. We will be definitely coming back since this place is close to home. Thumbs up.

I want to rate this higher because of how much good experience I have had with Soda Jerks. The server was the best and super great with the kiddo. The server is what made my whole experience fantastic! My burger was cooked well and tasted great, but there just wasn’t the same standard I expect from the franchise. I ordered the Pineapple Express burger, it was supposed to come with guacamole, but it was barely there. I had completely forgotten it was supposed to be on it until I was halfway through my burger. There was a thin smear of it, so perhaps that is how it was supposed to be. There was an entire slice of onion instead of a few rings which was slightly unpleasant to bite into. It was good, but just not the great food experience I was expecting from Soda Jerks. I hope this location gets a little better because of how close it is to my home. It is still relatively new.

All salads should come with a hand formed beef patty topped with cheese and bacon, it is a salad a man can eat with pride! And alongside a peanut butter/chocolate shake you don’t have to be too healthy yet you don’t need to feel too guilty it is this balance that all seek yet few achieve! A delicious lunch, oh they have burgers and alcohol and a ton of fancy imported pops but I think I have found my new favourite lunch.

I brought my extended family here for dinner(Saturday night) and was pleasantly surprised at how fast and efficient the service was! The menu had fun options and everything was delicious! Our waitress checked in on us multiple times and the manager even came to say hello! We felt looked after :) and ohhhh my.,. The vanilla donut milkshake was soooo amazing!

Drove past Soda Jerks during an errand and decided to check it out. It’s a pretty clean burger joint. Friendly staffs. Ordered the cookies n’ crème milkshake and the orange soda float, which are highly recommend. The perogies were yummy. The burgers on the other hand were somewhat of a disappointment. I don’t think I would return tho, even with the delicious milkshake.

First time at this place and last time also. Restaurant looks cool but it means nothing when the service is poor. There were 2 servers and about 4 tables when we got there. Took them time even after we closed the menus and even placed them near edge of table. Had to actually stop a server on her walk by. We got our drinks pops about 5 mins and meals 15 mins after ordering and after that they could hardly been seen because they were on the other side of wall where there were no customers. Have to say the burgers were very good but fries overdone and dry. Pop is very pricey here but where isn’t it. One burger can easily feed 2 very lean, meaty and tasty. You would think management would have trained their staff more. To also anticipate after dropping of the food if anything else was needed. A patron should not have to walk up to server to get some attention!!!

Probably the best tasting burger I have had so far in the city. Got to love the build your own places, the fries are great, the perogies are amazing, the one major problem is the price. 3.99 for a bottle of pop. I know there speciality drinks but there cheaper in the grocery store next door. And 15.00 for a burger and fries is a little much. So great food, but more of a special occasion type of price. 60 — 70 dollars for 3 people. For burgers. Ouch.

Really good food couldn’t make up for exceptionally slow service and shockingly high prices. The menu is great — really unique options and a lot of them(considering you’re at a burger joint, after all). The food was really well prepared and everyone in our family really enjoyed their meals. When they finally came, that it. The service was incredibly slow. And then we got the bill and were appalled at how expensive it was. We won’t be back.

Hip 50’s style red white and black diner. Retro music. Floats and milkshakes. Specialty sodas. first time at a soda jerks. Was pleasantly surprised of the cool hip vibe. Much cooler than most specialty burger joints opening up in edmonton. Black tables with grey and red booths… cool lighting and a great use of colors in this moderatly sized burger joint. Loud oldies music playing retro hits from the 70’s 80’s and 90’s. I was seated quickly on arrival and ordered within minutes from a cheerful server. No problems for me. The range of specialty sodas were vast. The options for milkshakes were unique and tantalizing. I ordered the chocolate peanut butter milkshake. It was thick and tasted exactly like its name. Our burgers came out steaming hot and fresh. The fat from the meat drizzling out. I assume the burger has a high fat content similar to fatburger but it tasted much better and was a larger portion as well. Burgers come with four toppings. I highly recommend the sauerkraut! It brought my burger to a whole new level. After four toppings they cost $ 1 each. I added a onion ring to mine. But u can ugrade your side of fries for $ 2 so this was not worth it.(I got only one ring on my burger) oh well next time I know better. Also the burgers all come with fries automatically with your choice to upgrade. Ive tried the poutine And for $ 1.50 its completly worth it. I believe the fries could of been cooked longer for added crispyness. But they were good. The kids meals are $ 7 for a burger fries and a drink with choice to upgrade for a specialty soda for $ 2 and 6 mini donuts just like from kdays for dessert! My son raved about his meal and exclaimed 5 Unilocal Unilocal! Service was perfect and attentive. My waitress gave excellent service and provided everything fast and offered everything to ensure I enjoyed my meal. I did notice other patrons upset about slow service but I believe this is all due to the luck of the draw on servers. My visit had very good attentive service. Overall. The atmosphere is what I love. It takes a burger joint to a new level of cool. The food is good, tasty and made to order. It may take long but thats bc its a restaurant. Not a fast food joint. So take your time and enjoy yourself like you would at any other restaurant. I have ordered takeout and it is pretty quick although ordering can be kinda slow. They also forgot forks and gravy on my poutine. But they quickly fixed it. So minus a star for a few hiccups. Next time im gonna try the perhogy burger. The sauerkraut was that fabulous that I must come back to try it! Ps from looking at other plates of other diners. I would strictly stick to burgers only. The salads looked dismal… and other dishes not as appetizing as they sound!
