Love this Starbucks location. The staff are fantastic, and even though I’m not here as often as I have been in the past, they still remember me and chat as though I’m there everyday. Love that they treat their patrons as though they are over for coffee at home. Service is great and the café is always clean and well organized.

I often stop by here when I am at work as they are only a block away. The baristas know me by name but I never really order the same drinks 2 days in a row. Like to keep them guessing. LOL. They have pretty good with service and try to be efficient and get people through. I love their patios in the summer time and actually it’s probably my favorite patio for a coffee shop in the city.

Great service this morning from the guy taking your order(Chico) & the barista lady! I was asked how I was doing before my order was taken and the barista lady kindly informed me of the changes coming in 5 days to all Canadian Starbucks — the introduction of La Boulange pastries! Apparently Starbucks bought out this famous bakery from San Fran and we are the last market to incorporate their pastries into the food selection! The barista lady raved about their croissants… Apparently to die for! Who doesn’t love a delicious buttery melt-in-your mouth croissant?!? I guess I’ll just have to try it out myself in 5 days time!

For a Starbucks, it’s as good as it gets. The location is obviously the best being on High Street, but what you wouldn’t know is that the staff are always great! The manager/owner is always really friendly and funny. Generally, there’s always a place to sit, which can be a problem at some locations. And the drinks are always made as ordered, again… can be a problem at other locations. Great location, great staff, and consistency.

Every time I have been in this Starbucks there’s no more than a few people in front of me and at least one table free. I’m sure it’s a busy location but I’ve been fortunate it hasn’t been crazy busy. There can be a few others by the milk area but it clears up quickly. I usually get the Refresh tea for $ 2 and like the mint taste. The staff are friendly and efficient. The last time I came, most people were seating on the patio so there was available indoor seating. The locations makes this one of my favourite Starbucks. It’s close to fun shops to check out and great to stop in for a mid shopping drink. There are benches outside if it’s too busy inside. Parking lot can get busy but there’s residential streets that you can likely find a spot and enjoy a little walk.

Probably in the top ten Starbucks I’ve been to! And that’s not just in canada either! I love the cozy corner that this Starbucks is tucked into and the cute patio that they open up when the weather is nice. The staff here have always been friendly and efficient even when they are swamped and the atmosphere is so inviting. As far as Starbucks goes, they’re all pretty similar in taste and variety in their menus, so I can’t really comment too much on anything except the wonderful staff and setting. If you’re even remotely a Starbucks fan, definitely try out this location!

While I may not be the biggest fan of Starbucks — you know, it’s the whole«giant chain» thing. I just prefer to support local! Also, I don’t love their cappuccino, the espresso just tastes bitter. Of course you can’t taste it in a big, fancy, 900 calorie frappuccino… Another reason why I don’t like Starbucks, it’s yet another American chain that is geared to getting people f-a-t! But enough of what I don’t like about SatrB’s and on to what I really like about this location: I just love the location! High Street is so quant, full of adorable shops and free parking. Then there is the patio situated under the gigantic sprawling trees of the east Glenora address — shaded and breezy in the summer, gorgeous in the fall with a plethora of falling leaves. In the winter you can sit in the big windows and watch the snow fall as you work. They also have 4 stools up at the counter which is a cool spot to park yourself and your laptop. So, if I’m going to be at a Starbucks, this is definitely the one!

This Starbucks is a diamond-in-the-rough. The interior décor is what I’d expect from a nice coffeeshop that is looking to add atmosphere. Some old-world style furniture, etc. The lineup moved quickly, though the barista was a bit behind(and forgot my order initially)… the atmosphere made up for it.

I’m not big on Starbucks or any chain coffee and, to be honest, no one needs to be in today’s world. However, the high street starbucks is just such a good location. They’ve got a decent sized patio that looks inviting while driving/walking around that area. The inside space is not so big, with Strarbucks going for a narrow design with a few 2-seater tables and a few couches at the back. The staff at this location also seem to be quite friendly and since they’re usually frequented by more relaxed people(given that it’s in the high street), there’s a very homely feel about it — almost like a neighborhoody feel. However, I must add that I’ve been here on a couple of weekdays and it has been crowded. So, it certainly looks like the cat’s out of the bag! Although I love the idea of a patio, I don’t know how useful it is in Edmonton, given that we have 4 – 5 months of patio season, at best. Perhaps they could have gone with a larger and more spacious shop without a patio? It’s a two-edged sword though, because patios are great.

I LOVE this location. This is possibly my favorite Starbucks in the Edmonton vicinity. There is just that something special about the Highstreet area that I can’t quite describe. It is a feeling and until you visit on a sunny afternoon you may not know what I am referring to. Anyways the Starbucks itself is in the end unit of a strip mall giving it access to a great patio space. Well the patio isn’t as large as it could be; they make the best of the space available. I like that the patio feels somewhat secluded and has a mix of trees(providing shade) and sunny spots. Inside is tight on space too. Again they make the best of the space available but there are not too many tables and chairs. It is always clean and tidy and there are bathroom available for patrons. As this is a busy location I appreciate that the service is always stellar — the staff are friendly while remaining efficient. The location is what makes this Starbucks special — you must try it out!

I am not one for chain coffee places, but as far as Starbucks goes, this is one of the best. It has an intimate atmosphere and is located in a very artsy shopping block. Unfortunately, it is almost always too busy and even in the heart of a weekday afternoon it can be difficult to find a seat.

If I had to pick a favourite Starbucks in Edmonton, I think this one would be it. The only way to describe this setting is that it is wonderful. This is what a coffee place should be. It has a great setting and the building is nice also. It’s an older brick building with tall arched windows and a high ceiling. It’s a nice change from the modern-style Starbucks I’m normally in. I get the feeling that this place has been here longer than most of the Starbucks in Edmonton. It’s a very relaxing location that is conducive to having a relaxing chat with a friend or avoiding the stress of the office. It’s not far from downtown either. I just wish it was closer to home for me. I will now judge every other Starbucks I go to by this one. Busyness — It’s pretty steady. Obviously it’s a popular coffee place in this older neighbourhood. I get the feeling I was lucky to get the biggest table in the place. Noisiness — Aside from the occasional blender, it’s generally pretty quiet. The music is at an acceptable level and I’m tucked away at the back, so I miss much of the traffic. Ambience — I understand this is called High Street and it’s a great area just a short distance from 124 St. Power — The booths don’t seem to have power but the other tables look to have power available. You may have to stretch a cord in some areas. I don’t know if the patios ever have power. Free wifi — Yes, free wifi is available and works well. Staff — They’re friendly as always. I got my coffee quickly as I usually do. I almost always order coffee, unless I’m at a Starbucks in the evening when I order passion tea. If it’s got an ‘O’ on the end of its name, I probably will never order it. Seating — It’s not a big place, but it’s laid out well and it has a lot of seats. The prep area doesn’t take up half the floor space, like it seems to in some places. There are 24 seats with two of them being comfortable armchairs. Those seats also include three great little two-seat booths. With one large table to work at, you’ll easily fit four people. The outdoor patio is huge(nine tables) and on a hot day it would be really nice to enjoy sitting out in the shade of the huge trees(elms?) lining 125 St. Security — Seems like a pretty good area, but I’d still lock up the laptop or bring it with me when heading to the washroom.

It’s nearly always too busy, which I suppose is just a thing to deal with. When not too busy, it’s a lovely place to sit and enjoy a tasty beverage with a friend or with a book. They have a deck so in the summer, they double their seating capacity so long as the mosquitoes aren’t biting. I’ve been there several times and have received adequate service. Yesterday, I wanted their egg-whites, feta, and spinach sandwich. It was unavailable and so the person apologized and then removed the sample from their display — this tells me they care about their customers. The fellow making the drinks needed help, though — there were 5 people waiting for drinks by the time I joined the line.
