The Balloon Store

While it’s not typically a place you would find yourself window-​shopping (due to location) when I happened upon The Balloon Store last Saturday, it was loads of fun!
This store sells a few stuffed animals and a little giftware, but overall remains true to their name. While looking around, there was a couple purchasing a near-​life-​size Buzz Lightyear balloon. Needless to say, I was impressed.
This is the perfect place to delight kids and kids at heart alike and I’ll be sure to keep it in mind for future events — births, birthdays, illness, anniversaries, and just because!

So here’s the balloon low down: I love balloons! I think that shiny, elegant or funny, foil balloons can add such a presence to an event. From giant Y.E.L.P. in red at an Elite Event, to the 3 foot tall silver foil 007 balloons I bought from The Balloon Store for my James Bond themed event. My friends, you have got to add some balloons into your lives! Peoples faces just light up when they see balloons, they are airy, and up-​lifting. They add dimension and depth to a space, and serious «oh snap!» to your selfies and pics.
The Balloon Store is located right on Calgary Trail, so it is easy to access. They have a super fantastic selection of all kinds of balloons, and, I really, REALLY appreciate their knowledgeable and helpful staff. Seriously, I just can not take the incompetence of the employees that work at Party City — along with the long line ups, and the amount of times I have received half inflated balloons (that deflate in a day because they aren’t properly sealed)… Rrrrr. And I digress… Yes, you are going to pay about 10−20% more for a balloon bouquet at The Balloon Store than you would at Party City, but trust me, please trust me that it is sooooo worth it! You get what you pay for, and I would way rather pay a few dollars more for quality, helpfulness, peace and kid-​free quiet, and the knowledge that my money is going to a locally owned business and not a giant corporate chain. The balloons will look better, last longer and you will be pleased!
