One of my favorite spots to hang out on my lunch break, The Book Cellar offers(mostly) new books at a major discount! I’m not sure if they just take overflow from other bookstores or what, but this place gets about a handful of each new book they get in. This means that, unlike used or consignment bookstores, you have a high chance of finding something you’d like in good condition, or you can buy another copy for a friend or family member if you find something really cool. You can’t really go into this store looking for a specific title, but you can definitely narrow down to the topic you want and usually find something. I’ve purchased most of my cookbooks here, with brand new books 75−90% off the original price tag. What’s more is the store itself has crazy sales on top of that, usually genre-based(currently, it’s 30% off all biographies.) The place has an abundance of random titles that you wouldn’t expect, from architecture books about bathrooms to the history of men’s magazines. Great place to check out for some leisurely reading!

This is one of those places in the mall you might always find yourself walking past, in which case, stop whatever you’re doing and go straight to the Book Cellar! Do not pass go, do not collect $ 200, etc. It’s a tiny space but it is crammed from top to bottom with shelves and shelves of books. Don’t let this intimidate you, though! A few textbooks in here, but a lot of «leisure» reading, too. The staff are great and will try to help you find a book that matches your interests. The best part is the sales. There’s usually some kind of sale on, like the mystery or biography genres(up to 90% off sometimes)! I love this store!
