This building is a complete disaster. For 8 months of the one year I lived there, one elevator or more were not working. We were promised air conditioning which was not provided for the whole year. You cannot get the heat up to more than 70 degrees. The water pressure in the taps is very low so you cannot wash the hair out of your razor. Turnover in the main office is high. On the day I moved in, ALL three elevators were down so the movers had to carry my stuff up nine flights of stairs. And you get dinged $ 50 if you’re even a day late with the rent. If I could give this less than one star, I would

After living in this building for a year, I absolutely refuse to sign another lease. They are terrible at keeping up on maintenance, opting to do small, trivial ‘upgrades’ to the lights in the parkade and shower heads instead of fixing the elevator that has been broken for over 9 months. You might not think that’s an issue, but try waiting 15+ minutes for a remaining elevator to arrive, only to have it packed full with people so you can’t even get on. If you do manage to, you’d better be prepared to spend about 10 more minutes in it as it stops to let the rest of the poor sardines off. The low flow shower heads have also added at least another 10 minutes to my morning routine, as they don’t have the force to get shampoo out of long hair effectively! For myself and my girlfriend that means getting up about a half hour earlier –just– to make sure our damn hair is clean! Plus the extra time for the elevator! We’ve worked it that we’re much earlier for work, but are leaving the building well before most of the tenants, so that helps, but if they spent the time to fix the issue it wouldn’t be a problem anymore. To finally tip the scales to get me to write a review here, they accepted a package from UPS valued at 200 dollars for me, and have no idea where it is, and are claiming they never saw it at all. UPS has confirmed that the desk clerk signed for it, and the name matches her name. Oh, and the slow leak from the roof that is affecting us a couple floors down that was apparent after our 3rd month here, and is just having something done about it now. By which I mean someone has come to look at the bubbled paint and rusty coloured staining, the problem itself has yet to be mitigated. I wish I was exaggerating any of this. it’s actually quite hard to believe now that I’ve typed it out! Since the rent has gone up quite a bit since we signed our lease, we feel it is simply not worth the price they want(it’s actually not even worth the price we were paying!) we’ve opted to look elsewhere. The only plus we could come up with is the simply astounding south facing view if you’re high up enough to not hear the constant noise on Jasper Ave of loud motor bikes and jacked up trucks cruising in 2nd gear to hear their turbos spool.
