Went here and must say its a big disappointment compared to when it first opened. When they make the chicken for the butter chicken in the microwave then you know there is an issue.

Certainly wood not consider the cuisine original but simply as it is, a fast food restaurant. So you get what you get. I had the Pad Thai with chicken and the flavour was so so. They do fill the box with noodles but that is pretty much it. A couple pieces of chicken and same goes for onion and greens and that was it. For what you get its also a little pricey.

If you’re hungry and craving quick but good Asian cuisine then Wok Box is the place for you, Wok Box is located in a plaza near Tamarack. There is usually ample parking so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a spot. The«boxes» come in a lunch portion or a larger portion. They have bottle and fountain drinks. There is also bottles of beer to go a long with your meal. I usually get the Beef and Broccoli or the Butter Chicken box and both items are full of flavor. The portions are really good. Their prices are competitive with other fast food places in the area and those places don’t give you a fortune cookie like Wok Box does either. There is booth seating and«bar» seating available in the restaurant if you prefer to sit and enjoy your meal. In which case the meals are prepared a little differently. Wok Box is great for a quick lunch or dinner. I will definitely be back

Stopped here for a quick bite before carrying on shopping. Had the Hong Kong spice combo with chicken. The springrolls were small and a bit too crispy. The main dish was OK. Nice and spicy but because of the way it was assembled, all the good stuff was at the bottom. By the time I got down to the bulk of the chicken carots and peppers, I was too full of noodles and sprouts to enjoy them. Maybe it was made this way because they made up my order«to go» by mistake.

I don’t know if Wok Box has gotten crappier as I have gotten older or if my taste has changed, but holy is this restaurant chain a disappointment. I’ve been to the Callingwood, WEM and South East locations over the last couple of years and I find the food has gone down in terms of quality of ingredients and portions. I went to the South East location last night for a quick bite before grocery shopping and ordered the Pad Thai and an order of green onion cakes. My fiancé ordered the ginger beef and rice. First of all, the food took less than 3 minutes to make which makes me wonder how«fresh» things were. Maybe I am remembering the past wrong, but I swear when I used to come here as a teenager, the ingredients all seemed very fresh and there were tons of veggies and meat in the dishes. I watched them bring the green onion cakes out to be cooked and they were lifeless, white, super thin cakes that reminded me of something McDonalds might have in their freezer to cook up for you. Sure enough when I got them, they tasted like preserved crap that I could have bought frozen in a grocery store and baked in my own kitchen. My fiancé said his food was fine, and my Pad Thai was okay but the noodles to meat and veggie ratio was ridiculous. And the noodles were a bit sticky. All in all I feel let down by wok box! I used to come to this place as a quick lunch option but I don’t think I’ll be back after this latest visit. I am going to stick to Thai Express for my Pad Thai cravings from now on.

Can you review with no stars? This Wok Box is rubbish. To be frank, I haven’t been happy with Wok Box in years but my wife and I decided we’d give this location a shot when shopping with our kid. My wife ordered the lunch size Kung Pow with shrimp, I had the lunch size Butter Chicken and our son had the Japanese Dragon kids meal with chicken and Udon noodles. We also had a side of green onion cakes. First off, my Butter Chicken consisted of two small pieces of chicken, one chunk of chicken skin, and what I can only describe as rice porridge. My wife’s Kung Pow had 4 shrimps. And by shrimps I mean Sea Monkeys. My sons Japanese Dragon meal had a couple pieces of sponge, which I think may have been the chicken, a piece of broccoli and some noodles. He spit everything out except a few noodles.(This is a kid who will eat a full order at Edo of chicken yakisoba). Also, they forgot his juice box, which I assume would have been the best and most nutritious part. Please note that I am fully aware that juice boxes are not nutritious and I am simply being ironic based on the caliber of the meal. Finally, this garbage cost us over $ 30. AND I got charged an extra dollar for the noodles in my sons meal because apparently crappy noodles are worth a dollar more than crappy rice. Just rubbish.

This was my first visit to Wok Box and I have to say I was really impressed. The value, the portion size, the quality of food was all excellent. Our food came fast and although it’s fast food, it still pays homage to the original food it comes from. Looking forward to coming back again

Wok Box disappoints me so :-(Years ago, it was fresh fun new fusion and now it’s a disappointment everytime I go. The price is higher than almost any other spot in town to grab Phở or Noodles to go and the portions seriously lack in protein. Even when paying the $ 3 upsize to double the meat or tofu, I feel like I’m getting less than I would anywhere else. Also, the veggies that they top every dish with always seem to be missing something and don’t tell me broccoli isn’t in season or hard to find. I guess it’s time we part ways…

I don’t understand how people can patronize this place. It is the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to in my life. We ordered the phở(tasted like they threw in lots of oil, beef slices, salt and water into a pot)… Also ordered the wor wonton and the wantons were 3 times thicker because they’re wrapped in thick wonton wrappers. It’s terrible. This place cannot exist. It gives good a bad name. The best thing here is the Mountain Dew. I will never return and I will almost camp outside this restaurant to stop people from wasting their money.

This is «my» Wok Box. I’ve eaten in a number of them, here, and in Lethbridge, and the 17th Ave one is the best. Food is consistently well prepared, and the staff are friendly and willing to make small changes in the dishes. A vegetarian, I like the fact I can have tofu, properly cooked, in place of meat in their dishes.
