This place is great. I was in a hurry and they were packed. The staff was able to accommodate me. Within minutes I had a glass of wine in my hands and they took my order before I even sat down. The salmon with lentils I had was perfect. Service with a great smile and the pricing was more than fair. I will go back next time I’m in town.

I am giving it a 2 star for the nice patio as it was shades on a hot summer day and my brothers girlfriend didn’t have a hat or sunglasses with her. As we were seated we were offered water and accepted and also ordered two Stella beers. The water came but after five minutes and no eye contact from the server there were no beers. We finally asked and they said they don’t carry Stella and walked away without even suggesting an alternative light beer and instead when we called her back she said they only carry craft beers. Another server came by and we asked for a recommendation and she finally got two lightish beers. She also apologized and said the girl who originally took our order was only 14?(is that allowed?) and didn’t know better. After ordering I went to the washroom only to stumble into a conversation of the wait staff mocking us for wanting to order a Stella when we didn’t know they only had craft beers as we were never given a drink menu. The topper and the reason I am writing this review as a warning to people is that they charge $ 9.00!!! For water !! It’s not even in a closed bottle its in a glass jar and called«Q» water. She said its distilled in a Machine in the back but that’s of course not verifiable that they didn’t just get it from the tap. We thought it was sneaky to not mention it when we ordered. Usually a restaurant brings tap water no charge unless you specify you want a branded bottled water.

The Chicken Supreme was the best poultry dish I have experienced for a very long time. I will be back, despite the 2 hour drive.

I visited Cork on a walking culinary tour. Greeted warmly and seated, we enjoyed the clean lines of the monochromatic décor. This looks like the perfect place for a date. Our sampling was the Brie & Pear Flatbread with salad topped with house dressing. I could eat brie with pear everyday and that day was no exception. The flatbread was fresh and warm. The salad was alright; the dressing was good, but the greens were a little blah. I definitely could’ve gone for more pear and brie!

Disappointing and overpriced. Myself and the wife found ourselves in Elora for the weekend. Having never been before we decided to walk the streets and check out the various menus. The menu at Cork looked interesting, if a little steep, but we wanted to treat ourselves. Never again. My wife decided on an appetizer($ 12) and a salad($ 12) and I went for the Boar Tenderloin($ 32). Service The first thing that was immediately obvious was the ‘Team’ server routine. Which was super awkward. There were three servers working,(no host) and each of them would provide something different, but for the most part multiple servers would do the same thing, which would waste time, and it felt like they weren’t organized, or competing to see who could help us the most. I have been in many restaurants where this method of service worked, but here it didn’t. Food Venison Skewer, $ 12. Far too little meat,(and nothing else on the plate). Beet and Kale salad, $ 12. Not enough beet, nor cheese. Mostly frisée, but nice dressing. Boar Tenderloin, $ 32. When ordered was told it would be served medium rare, and was asked if that was ok. I have had many pork and beef tenderloin, and medium rare has never been a problem as the meat has always been tender enough to justify the done-ness. Unfortunately(for Cork and any poor sap who orders it) the boar tension was nowhere near tender enough to get away with medium rare. Anything that wasn’t the outside(which was kindly coated in nice boar bacon) was far too chewy to be considered edible. Speaking of edible: the other items on the dish(potato and Brussels sprouts) were embarrassingly undercooked. I ate everything that was edible, which was about half the dish. Service(again) $ 60 + tax($ 68) for a disappointing meal(one $ 4 soft drink)! paid $ 100 cash, and server brought change of a twoonie and two ten dollar bills. I almost blindly pocketed the tens and was about to leave, then realized something didn’t seem right. After bringing the mistake to the attention of(one of) our server(s) she returned with the correct change. Couldn’t tell if it was an honest mistake, then again I wouldn’t be surprised as the cooking was full of mistakes. Overall eating at Cork was a mistake I do not wish to repeat.

Disappointing. Everything is expensive and prices do not reflect quality. The maple pulled chicken is sickeningly sweet and most menu items have very small portion sizes. The only item that was enjoyable that we ordered was the vintners plate starter and the seared scallops. A $ 5 salad upgrade yields you four asparagus spears and a few rapini stalks. I would not recommend this place for lunch, I’m not sure how dinner service is but I’m not willing to pay to find out based on lunch.

Hit and miss. Our Sunday afternoon lunch was OK overall, but there were some missteps. I found the watermelon and cucumber vichyssoise too watery, though my wife enjoyed hers. The kids enjoyed the grilled cheese and chicken fettucini. The trio of dips was as expected. Unfortunately the steak frites literally left me with a bad taste in my mouth. At first the steak was unevenly overcooked — medium to well done instead of medium rare. The manager had my steak redone and removed the charge. The second steak was more towards the medium rare to rare end. Regardless of the chef’s efforts, both steaks had the taste of meat a due days past their prime. Both were served with tasty fries yet uninspired plain green beans. Some jus or other kind of sauce would have greatly improved things. The location is nice and the service was solid. Despite the missteps with the steaks, we had a decent overall experience. I hope they fix these issues, and might give them another chance.

3.5 stars The food was excellent. Theres not much else in the area except for a pub and a tex mex café. I would say its a bit pricey for the area but still good. It was AT’s birthday and after a day of exploring the gorge, I made a reservation here. Although its the top restaurant according to trip advisor it wasn’t full at all, and I probably overdid by calling to change reservation many times. It’s in the centre of town and everything here is walk able. We started with the Malaysian calamari. Tasty but a little bland. I ordered the lamb saddle and it was delicious. And I think had the best mashed potatoes ever. It’s a bit pricey but ok($ 29). AT had the steak special– excellent and flavourful. For dessert we got the Mille Feuille.$ 9 I Expected something different. It was some crunch pastry with layers of cream and tasty goodness. Creative. Drinks were expensive and their house wine did not taste very good. Folks were friendly though. I would come only on a special occasion but maybe stick with the other restos or café in town.

I don’t know how I ended up again in Elora for the afternoon, but I’m glad we stopped here for lunch. Shared starters consisted of seared scallops in a Pernod sauce with apple(lovely flavours) and the mushroom medley with parmesan. I’m quite certain that the mushrooms were quite good had it not been for the over abundance of garlic. My chick couldn’t take more than a forkful before giving up. Wife had the Pea shoot and Apple salad as a main and it was pretty decent. Perfect for an afternoon on the patio with the dressing being creamy but light. I had something called the Debrenzzi Sausage and it was wonderfully flavoured but unfortunately the peppers and onions that accompanied it fell flat as they were void of any flavour. The sausage was so good we asked our server if it was local and she said they tried to serve as much local food as possible. We then asked where we could find some Debrenzzi sausage. She came back a few minutes later. The kitchen didn’t know and neither did she. Oh. I had a lovely glass of a German Riesling — $ 15. I quickly pulled up the LCBO app and found out that it was $ 13.95 a BOTTLE. I wasn’t as pleased as I once was.
