I’ve booked banquets here a couple of times, and have attended banquets here. From an organizing perspective, the banquet staff have always been very helpful, and we’ve never had any issues with our event. The hotel lobby is beautifully decorated with lots of sitting area, and there’s always a very friendly doorman. I am always satisfied with the food as well, as are the guests, and the banquet prices were very competitive. The only reason I haven’t booked recently is that we prefer another location more central in the city. But if you’re up for driving a little bit, I definitely recommend he River Cree banquet services. It’s also great because after the banquet, people can go have fun in the Casino if they so choose.

My first impression every time I walk in the door is yuck!!! One day someone will remove that awful air freshener for good. Quite frankly, it smells like something more suitable for a public restroom. Nice rooms, comfy beds, great views, clean, friendly staff, that’s why we keep coming back. We ate at the Seafood Buffet while there, okay for the price, Great coffee :) I wish the gift store would carry handmade native items made by local artisans from Enoch.

I was unfortunately so disappointed with this hotel. Their website(albeit rather unprofessional) touts this hotel and casino as being a 4.5 star resort. It is rayed on various sites as being a 4 star hotel. I have to say, I was at a 3 star radisson that was significantly nicer than this hotel. I disliked almost every aspect of my stay. The restaurants were disappointing, to say the least. The smokey smell from the casino gave me and my party headaches and it drifted into the hotel and the rooms. Although they do not charge the price of a 4 star, they should absolutely not tout that they are. It leads with himgh expectations only to be disappointed. The positives about this property are that it is clean and the beds are comfortable. Unfortunately, I left smelling like an ash tray.

This hotel is overrated and certainly not worth the money for the amenities provided. I booked this hotel through priceline and looking at the word«resort» in the name I felt there would be some really good amenities, but when I arrived I was very disppointed. It just turned out to be an overrated motel. In addition for the night I stayed their pool was not working. For the amenities provided I could have stayed at a cheaper place. Only good thing is room service was good and that is the reason I am giving 2 stars. This was he first time I stayed in a Marriott and disappointed, but still hopeful that other Marriott’s will not be like this one.

I’d like to echo Nandan’s review in support of this Marriott property. I spent in excess of 75 days a year in hotels and I was fortunate enough to enjoy a nights stay at this location. The room upgrade was granted on request, a personal greeting from the front desk with a written note in my room was a welcome touch. The service here is intuitive without being intrusive — not an easy feat. Very nice accommodations with easy access to the River Creek casino if that’s your thing. Excellent overall experience!

the good: the breakfast buffet here is awesome! Its actually something I look forward to when traveling to Edmonton. great selection, fresh, and super service. The staff smiles, checks on you regularily, and goes out of their way to treat you with VIP style service,(VIP in a breakfats buffet, yeah I know). The rooms are nice, nothing crazy luxurious. Upon check in she noticed I had two double beds and asked if I would prefer a king. Those little things make it a better experience all around. the not so good: why the heck do you charge $ 16 a day for internet? this grinds me. to tell you the truth, I don’t even know exactly what my room rate is, but I sure as heck know when i have to click accept to $ 15.99 per day before i can log on with my iPad! why couldnt you hike the room rate by $ 10 and offer it complimentary? I hate paying extra for internet when we live in a society where airports and coffee shops are free wifi. All in all great though, it’s my hotel of choice when I travel here for business, and it’s also about 8 minutes from West Edmonton Mall.

Location: The hotel is located in the quiet Enoch neighbourhood and is relatively close to the West Edmonton Mall. It’s not a happenning area but its actually nice, quiet and I enjoyed seeing the the sun rise on the horizon every morning. If you want to go out, be prepared to drive as even food may be hard a find nearby. The hotel has a casino as well which is a huge crowd puller. I believe the hotel is halfway between the airport and downtown in terms of distance. Front Desk: Fantastic staff and all requests made during my reservation were met. They gave me an upgrade and the staff met my expectations of being at a Marriott. Parking: There is tons of outdoor parking available. Valet service is available in the evenings/nights at the Casino entrance. The only issue I had was there is no power outlet to plug in your car and I’d be concerned during the cold weather. Room: The room was clean and were pretty new and since I got an upgrade, I don’t really have anything to complain about. They provided enough towels and the beds were one of the most comfortable I have ever had. Housekeeping and room service staff were amazing. If you are an elite member, you have access to the concierge lounge as well. This is one of the rare hotels where the lounge is open on weekends as well. The internet is $ 16 per day unless its part of your rate. Laundry facilities are available on the 2nd floor. Restaurant: They have 3 restaurants. The Kitchen — a la carte and buffet. They have buffet theme nights as well that serves seafood, asian cuisine etc. Tap 25 which is a sports bar which is great for catching a game. Sage — fine dining. I only ate at the sports bar and the kitchen a couple of times and had a good time. Nothing to rave about but nothing to complain about either. Room service from the other restaurant was worth it as well. There is a starbucks coffee for your caffiene doses. Healthclub/gym: They have a decent sized gym although I’d expect and appreciate a bit more equipment than free weights, treadmills and bikes. They have a pool and an ice rink as well. Overall: I had a very pleasant stay overall. I hardly ran into the casino crowd but that is more prone to happen on weekends. I rather not give it a 5 star rating but based on most hotels like Hiltons, Delta’s and Crowns in most Canadian cities, this could be there. Let’s say that overall its a 4 star experience.
