Canadas Best Value Inn Toronto

We stayed for a night. This hotel has lots of practices below standards of the hotels with the same prices.
Usually, you get a room either with a King bed, or with 2 Queen beds for the same room price. However, this hotel forced us to stay in a room with 1 queen bed for the room price I paid, or they asked for 150% more of the price I paid to get a room with 2 queen beds.
They say they offer free breakfast, but their breakfast is like a joke. All they offer is a piece of toast bread with peanut butter, jelly and margarine, all offered in one case at the counter for all customers. They are not offered in individual small packs that you can take to your room.
And yes, they offer coffee in 6 oz cup, the smallest I have ever seen in a hotel.
For kids, they have 2 types of cereal and milk.
No sitting area for breakfast, even a single chair or stool.
Their shower has no bath tub. I was OK with that, but I only paid the price for a 3-​star hotel, while this hotel is well below 3-​star standards. They give only one type of liquid soap for shower, and they say it is the soap for body and shampoo together !!! I have never seen such a product anywhere else. And yes, it is in a bottle that can be used by the next customer. Not in individual bottles.
This hotel seems to be designed to make money only. They charge the price of 3-​star hotels for the services of a 1-​star hotel. They are below 2-​star standards.
The worst was to have to be waken up in the morning with hammer sounds coming from the construction at the next building.
I do not suggest to stay here to anyone. Instead I would suggest to find a brand name 3-​star hotel around the airport for the same price and enjoy your night in more luxury, and have a breakfast that deserves to be called a breakfast.
Their pictures are misleading. To get what you see in the pictures, probably you will end up with paying the price of a 5-​star hotel. Please only ask and confirm this yourself.

You’d have to try to find more ignorant. Neighbors (who likewise have a «Do not disturb» sign on door but kept me up until ~ 2 AM) have not had their room cleaned but the Front Desk keep calling INSISTING — «OR THEY’LL CHARGE ME» (bunk!) — calling that they must come clean my room NOW, HOW ABOUT THE ROOM THAT KEPT ME UP??? («don’t mind them» — utter crap and unfair).
Decent place until I got harassed for cleaning after neighbor who’s not harassed gets to sleep in. NEVER BEEN HARRASSED FOR A ROOM CLEANING (AND T IS QUITE CLEAN MIND YOU! (Just a few things in trash can, and bed sheet not even pulled lose.)
Now 2 hours later, left and came back twice, and the arguing with me «we have to clean your room now» maid STILL HAS NOT BEEN BY. (Just check-​out time now anyway, so WT* was she arguing about «NOW» on the phone with me for anyway?

Decent sized room, free parking and Wifi… grab and go free breakfast… Refrigerator and microware in the room with a fully functioning A/C…Helpful staff at the front desk…
easy access to the sherway gardens, 427 and Gardiner expy…
Surrounded by lot of restaurants and shopping…
there is a cineplex also close by…

First of all, the rooms are not as same as the pictures on this hotel’s website. When i called, staff said «all room are renovated». when i checked in, the room was different! I asked about the room that was shown in the website. Staff said .“oh., there was in the other location” ??? The a/​c in the room made loud noise. The fridge was not working well. I asked to change the room, staff said there was no room available.
Later, i saw a house keeper was in the room near by my room, i asked her for a iron and an ironing board. I was waiting outside my room (so she does not need to knock on my door). The housekeeping room was just a short distance away. The housekeeper walked to get only iron for me. I asked her again, «do you have an ironing board»? (how do you iron without a board?). she walked to get a board for me and placed it at the housekeeper room! Then she slowly, walked empty handed passed me with a smile on her face…. I was stunt… i did not know what just happened? I thought she might have to do something else first. Then she disappeared in the room she was cleaning.
so i walked to get the ironing board that she left at the corner of the housekeeping room… WHAT A BAD SERVICE MINDED THIS HOTEL STAFF HAS…
If the money is not the only main reason to stay at the hotel near this area. I would suggest to stay some where else. I have stayed with similar level of this hotel before, but their services are not necessary be this bad…

We stayed here one night, from Saturday the 16^th until the Sunday following.
We decided to stay at this hotel after reviews from other places in the area said things like «didn’t feel safe, etc.» Scary! There was no comments like that for the Canadas Best Value Inn.
Their parking was free (always a big plus), their 24 hour coffee is free, their wi-​fi is free, and their showers are free… essentially, it’s not really that much better than any other place. It’s pretty much what you’d need if you’ll spend most of your time OUTSIDE of your hotel, with the basics for sleeping in it.
There is a mini-​fridge and micro-​wave in the small-​ish room. We were satisfied with the size. There was no closet, just a coat rack, but I hardly ever need the extra space. Two single chairs to sit on, and a desk.
There was only one bath towel in the room even though we were two adults, and a beer cap on the floor and a yogurt in the fridge (at least it wasn’t expired). We were also only given one key.
The continental breakfast was gone by 8.30 (no longer any food) though it was supposed to be open until 9am. It’s right by a very large mall, but on Saturdays, the mall closes at 6pm (which was a surprise).
Over-​all, I would suggest this place to a friend. I would go early for the breakfast (if necessary) and I would recommend taking advantage of the free coffee!
We paid 84 $ for two adults in a single-​bed (queen sized) room.

Many people that are on vacation would probably look for better place to stay! Let be honest, a Inn is not ideal but like a hotel and motel it is only a place to sleep during the vacation! Most of the time is going out and exploring the city that you are in.
Best Value Inn was inexpensive which was a bonus!
They have two floor and each floor is divided into two section. One was the smoker side and the other was non-​smoker.
Many might assume that this place like Inn will have lack of hot water and room that are uncleaned and small that comes with no accommodation. I booked a room with two queen size bed (room with kitchen available). The room has a bathroom, heat/​ac, mini fridge and plasma TV with cable. The room was decently cleaned for a Inn! Their was no problem with the hot water it was not lukewarm or running out after 2 people had showered!
Breakfast is offered, but you better show up early because a free meal mean that if you are late the meal is already gone! If you going on vacation with friends this is place that is worth staying because of the value. If you are trying to impress someone you might wanna avoid this location.

Clean rooms, friendly staff. Nothing special here, but the lowest priced rooms around.
