Great service, great location, great ambiance, great food! Lovely place to spend a relaxing evening with family or friends.

Great place to watch the water and dine. The food is promising, you can tell that the chef is trying to bring some great flavours out in his food. The staff are very friendly. BUT, they staff is slightly disorganized, I am not sure who is responsible for what tables, We had three wait staff attending us, they made some mistakes trying to be too attentive. All in all it was very good!

Gabriola Island may not have many places to eat or drink, but they do have a ton of liquor stores (Home Drinker?) The Silva to my pleasant surprise has really, really good food. Not Vancouver fancy, but these people care a lot about what they put on your plate. Their pulled pork sammie is awesome with curry cole slaw and the dinner menu is just as good. I had the tenderloin in cauliflower pure and it was as tender as a baby’s ass if that ass was cooked in a baby crock pot. The view is stunning on the stone deck and I love the feral cat who begs for food. Now sure the carpet in the dining room looks like it came out of some Port Alberni trailer/​meth lab, but really that does not matter. Why you ask, because the service is amazing! Our waitress is a hoot and probably my fav server now in BC. This place is genuine and real just like the rest of the island. Do yourself some good karma and eat/​drink here.
