A hidden treasure, tucked behind a side street completely hidden from view. Features a patio overlooking a lake and beautiful park and trees. Perfect for breakfast /lunch or a beer on a hot day, followed by a walk on the trail around the lake. This review is based on an early morning breakfast experience. Atmosphere: 5⁄5. Patio with waterfront view, large windows on the interior overlooking the patio and water. Large and spacious. Food: 3⁄5. We ordered the French Toast and Banana Nutella Waffles with side of Home Fries. Both options came with bottomless coffee. The coffee is regular drip coffee and was a bit bitter at first(maybe it wasn’t freshly brewed), but the second cup we had tasted a bit fresher. The French Toast was more like white bread coated with an omelette — very eggy. The bread used was just regular white sliced bread. It was served with a side of real maple syrup though which was nice. However, I wouldn’t order the French Toast next time. The Waffles were really good. The banana taste overpowered the Nutella, which for me was heaven because I absolutely love bananas. They were served with custard and whipped cream. If you wanted a more chocolatey experience however, you may have been disappointed(maybe when ordering you could ask for there to be more Nutella). The Home fries were ok. They weren’t very hot which leads me to believe they were made ahead of time and quickly warmed up. The waffles weren’t piping hot either now that I think of it. I think what would heighten the food experience would be: fresher coffee, freshly cut and fried home fries served hot, less eggy French toast with a hint of vanilla, and maybe a bit more Nutella on the waffles. Service: 5⁄5. Our waitress was super friendly and upbeat. So was the rest of the staff that we didn’t directly interact with. Overall, the atmosphere, view and staff made this an awesome experience. They have an extensive menu so I think it could satisfy a wide range of tastes. I would definitely come back and try other items on the menu.
