This is a perfectly gorgeous park, although it’s a little bit pricey for camping. It’s a nice beach for wading and sunning, and during the summer, this place is pretty busy. It’s only about an hour away from Toronto, so you see a lot of people out here. There’s a snack bar and camp store, and both are charmingly shabby. There’s some nice paths for walking around and out onto the jetties. There’s a museum on the property, but it seems to have pretty limited hours. When we visited in August, it was already closed for the season, which was a little bit disappointing. Camping here is pretty nice — there are quite a few campsites here, and there’s a whole section that’s RV only. We stayed in a site that was non-powered, and it was a little bit pricey, but we enjoyed our time overall. If you want a fun getaway from city life, this is a good place to check out.

Love this place. I’ve been coming here the last couple years in a row now. Cost $ 20 to get in and it’s a huge park, great for families looking to spend their long weekends.
