No one greeted me to show me to a table. Had to find one on my own. Waited quite some time for my order to appear. The server I had was friendly but felt like she was going through the motions. Free Wifi is hit and miss. The steak for 8oz is tiny. Was most of the 8oz water weight? Jumbo shrimp are of a good standard and we’ll cooked. Steak is cooked well for a medium order. The shrimp skewer was hard work. But I put that down to personal preference. Steak had very little gristle which was nice. Desserts look good although the two I’d entertain were unavailable. All in all. Not bad for a choke and puke, tad over priced and slow service let’s it down.

I loved this place. I went here last Sunday for lunch and had an amazing burger. A picture says a 1000 words, so check out the picture. I got a Caesar salad as my side. Both were delicious. Our waitress was incredibly polite and attentive. One of our party didn’t enjoy her meal. There was nothing wrong with it but it wasn’t to her liking. She never said anything. When the waitress noticed it at the end of the meal, she was apologetic and empathic; and wish she could have said something earlier so she could bring her another meal. It was a simply gesture that went a long way. My overall experience was positive and I would definitely go back.

I came here with the family for a belated birthday dinner, since it was a good distance for all of us(all coming from different ends of the city), and it was close to the movie theatre. It was basically a toss up between this and Moxies, and I wasn’t particularly in the mood for scantily clad servers. And so, we ended up at Casey’s. I didn’t have high expectations, and in my mind this place is the same as say a Kelsey’s or Montana’s. It just goes to show that service can seriously make an impact, as much, if not more than the food. My sister and I tried their blueberry lemonade cocktail with mint, and it was surprisingly refreshing and well made! I could have easily downed a second, but hey, I was en route to a movie!(which was Gone Girl, and yes, I should have had another cocktail. Ha!) I decided on the chicken quesadilla and sweet potato fries — a safe dish. It was really tasty, and I appreciated that it wasn’t a massive serving, but plenty filling. Noah K, true to form, ordered a burger that he will no doubt tell you all about. My Dad ordered the same, and my friend went with a full rack of ribs which he devoured and seemed to very much enjoy. There were a couple problems with the other two dishes. My sister ordered the grilled cheese pulled pork sandwich, which is apparently one of their best sellers. She didn’t enjoy it at all, and felt it was too dry. Our lovely server Kate(who by this time had dealt with a fish allergy and gluten intolerance already at our table), noticed she hadn’t touched it, and asked her(kindly) if she would like to it go, or if she hadn’t enjoyed it. My sister confessed she hadn’t loved it, and Kate apologized(even though, let’s be real, it wasn’t HER fault!). My mom also wasn’t particularly in love with her taco salad, which she deemed to spicy. However, we can’t really fault the restaurant for it, because I’m pretty sure she didn’t read the menu item description which included jalapeños. Oh Mom! We decided to order dessert, and were very pleasantly surprised when they didn’t charge my sister for hers, saying that it was«on the house, since she didn’t particularly enjoy her meal.» I have to say, this really put the service here above and beyond. I’m of the opinion that if you don’t like a dish, and you tell the staff, it’s proper to comp a part of their dish, or offer them something else. I was happy that they were able to make a somewhat negagtive experience for her a bit more positive(and damn, m that chocolate cake was good!). I have to also give a shout out to their cinnamon sugar donut holes(which I had in a little sundae). They’re basically Timbits, but a bit more lovingly crafted. Totally recommend to polish off your meal! If you’re having dinner before a show at Silver City this is absolutely a place I would check out. They have a fairly normal menu, but their drinks are good, and the service is great. we’ll return for sure. Thanks Kate, for the excellent service!

Came here for late night appetizers(10:00pm) on a Saturday evening. Bar side was busy(there was a game on and it was pretty loud), and the«dinner» side only had a few customers. We chose to sit on the«dinner» side. We ordered tornado potatoes and nachos. The tornado potatoes were so addicting. It is basically warm kettle chips(that they make in house) with a chipotle cream sauce poured on top. So good! A must order if you are with a big group! The nachos were pretty good as well, and they were not cheap on the toppings; olives, green onions, tomatoes and lots of cheese. Although the food was good, the process to get seated, to order, and to receive our food was long, but that was due to our waitress being the only server in the dinning room, as well as acting as hostess. She was friendly, sincere and did not do any fake chit chatting(which I hate) when it came time to pay! An A-OK place to catch a game, have some drinks, or grab some appetizers with friends.

3.5 stars if only I could give them the extra half. Wow! I haven’t been to a Casey’s Roadhouse in a very long time! So long, that I thought they had gone out of business it’s been so long! I just had to try them again! Wednesdays are good days to visit this family-oriented restaurant: they offer half price burgers and they have a reasonable selection of them(about 6, if I remember correctly). The burgers usually run about $ 15.00, and they come with fries. The Hubster had a bison burger that was quite tasty. The fries are presented in a small container that resembles a frier, in paper placed inside this container. Surely they are not fried in this thing?! Didn’t look like it. I ordered a taco salad. Good to the last drop! The Hubster ate the olives in my salad as I’m not a fan of those, and he loves them. This meal ran about $ 15.00; not bad. They’ve changed the décor a bit; it’s cozy, with a gas fireplace. Not sure they have their branding down pat — they need to work on that to give it a Casey’s feel again. Lots of places have booths and a fireplace, a bar to one side, restaurant tables to the other side like this one does. But the service was decent, with a couple of funny asides: our waitress was friendly enough, and sometimes overly attentive(all I had to do was look up, and she came over!), and talked to me only for some reason — she asked me how my meal was, but not my husband(?? !) The hostess was dressed in black and is tall and thin, then when she reached for the menus, I saw tattoos of swallows running up her arm. I would go back.

When it comes to a «chain restaurant», it’s the staff whom make the visit worth while.
