Great spot just north of the strip. Plenty of parking, clean, and easy to get to. It gets busy but there’s plenty of space inside, or even on the deck! We’ve had the BLT, the Turkey Club and the Junk Burger… all homeruns. Will be back!

A great place to stop on the way home from a wonderful weekend camping at The Pinery. The cod fish n’ chips were tasty and the firehouse burger was delicious!

Amazing pulled pork! Fries were nothing special. Coleslaw needed some more kick, was bland and just blah. Friend of mine had the fish and chips and also loved the meal! Will be sure to check it out again! Good food! Good prices! Good staff, amazing all around! Will be stopping by next year when we visit the cottage during labour day long weekend!

The décor is a myriad of antiques tucked up on shelves, smart-ass comment boards, and wooden tables embossed with place mats depicting historical information about the area. I like learning local history while I wait for my food. SO much so, that I visited several of the empty tables to read the different stories on each one. Yup. I was THAT tourist. The Fried Lake Perch and Chips was the best plate of Fish and Chips I’ve ever eaten. The fish was far more flavourful than any halibut or haddock that you normally find swimming around in your crispy batter. These golden morsels were so light and crispy the practically floated up to my mouth on their own. There wasn’t a trace of gloopiness or batter flavour– just pure unadultered crispiness with fresh fish. There’s a nice sunny patio out back and a take out counter to the side. We will definitely swing by for the Fried Perch the next time we are in Grand Bend!
