As a kid, I loved Cows. As an adult, I can respect the company for their super premium ice cream, and their pricing($ 4.50 for a double scoop in a waffle cone is cheaper than what I’d pay at Marble Slab in ottawa). But I noticed that I got less ice cream with a double scoop than I did for a single scoop the day before.(?) The t-shirts are getting rediculous. Cowzinga in reference to Big Bang Theory? Orange is the Moo Black? Pretty bad stuff I’d never wear. But I digress. Obviously their long line ups tell me they’re doing something right.

Ice cream doesn’t get much better than this! They have an enormous assortment of original flavours and all the cones are freshly made in the store. You can’t go wrong.

Oh Cows, the holy grail of ice cream! My husband, and our friend Nikki from the UK, had NEVER been to PEI, let alone Cows, so on our last day in town I dragged them both here. As always, we went around looking at all the clever shirts(hey relatives, guess what you’re getting as your next gift!) and enjoyed looking at all the cow themed swag. After we made a few purchases it was next door for some delicious ice cream. Now, normally I’m all about being *ahem* frugal, but Cows is an exception that happens a few times a summer. Their ice cream is a little pricey but it’s delicious AND they have fresh-made waffle cones. I mean, how can I argue with that?! The Moo York Cheesecake was excellent! I can’t remember what everyone else got but I know there wasn’t much being said because we were too busy stuffing our faces with delicious, fresh, waffely goodness. Cows is a great treat, especially when you’re on the island!

When I was a kid this place was Mecca, but over the past 20 years I think Cow’s has become complacent and there ice cream is just so-so. Their waffle comes are still good, but they are like those that can be found at so many decent ice cream joints.
