Ontario distillery with great products. Last stop on the beer, spirits & cider tour by Niagara Fun Tours. Our guide was informative, telling us all about Forty Creek’s history, and answered all questions with ease. We found it very interesting to see the rooms where products are fermented, distilled and packaged. The staff were friendly and my husband was able to pick up a maple flavored liquor not carried in the LCBO. Worth a visit!

Although Forty Creek Whiskey is delicious and smooth, the tour itself isn’t really anything that special. It lasted about an hour, involved some history of the company(second best part of tour), a walkthrough the fermentation, distillation, barrels and bottling process, and a tasting(best part). Problem is, they don’t distill at that location anymore, they didn’t show all the barrels stocked, and the factory wasn’t operating! All the machines were off. It was a walk through of a closed factory! 3 samples included, must pay for premium, that being said the tour is FREE and they have some cool forty creek branded souvenirs for purchase. Tour guide was fairly knowledgeable and was thorough.

One of the best Canadian Whiskies going. Definitely worth a tour but even a stop by the retail outlet will provide a great price and selection as well as samples of the wide variety of products produced here — Forty Creek produces a number of products sold under different labels, such as Prince Igor vodka. Also, the maple liqueur is not to be missed, and is only available directly at the distillery store.
