Their strudels are very good– haven’t tried anything else though

Used to be great, but lately all I have encountered is unenthusiastic staff, watery coffee and less than fresh baked goods. I get my daily coffee and muffin elsewhere now, better quality, slightly more expensive, but worth it. I also have special ordered baked goods from here before and was disappointed in presentation and freshness.

Every time I visit relatives in Guelph, I make sure to stop in for a treat at West End Bakery located in the downtown area. I was there last week and there was a talented young lady playing acoustic guitar singing Christmas carols. My daughter and I enjoyed listening to the music while enjoying some delicious chocolate chip cookies at our table. West End Bakery does everything right, but my favorite thing to buy here is their cheese bread. It is a little pricy at $ 5/loaf, but sometimes paying more isn’t a bad thing when supporting a local business with top notch products. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating as well.

This bakery is fantastic. I’ve used them 3 times to cater a breakfast(less the coffee which we provided) for 75 – 110 people and I’ve had raving reviews from the people in attendance. They really do have fantastically made food — at a very reasonable price.

This bakery is and always has been amazing. Egg bread is the best bread I’ve ever had, and all the desserts are wonderful. I wish Canadians used Unilocal more, because this site would be full of five star reviews.
