Myself and 8 other people went to this restaurant to celebrate my friends 39th birthday party. We were told that they were full. Which was expected. But then they told us that the wait was over 3 hours and that we should leave and we’re not welcome to wait. They claimed we were waiting in the hallway(which is the entrance of the restaurant) After they told us nothing was available we moved to the lobby to call other locations). They were extremely rude to us and made us feel terrible. We then left and went to finbars in Bedford(highly recommended) The next week one of us posted on the Facebook about our experience. We were only seeking an apology only to have them call us liars and proceed to ignore our comments. Over 20 different people commented on their dissatisfaction. ALL comments were very professional and no attacks or profanity were used. Inn on the lake proceeded to delete the complaint and ban us all from posting. All they do is call anyone that posts negative comments liars and tries to make themselves look innocent. Not ONCE have they ever apologized and took responsibilities for their actions. Avoid at all costs. There food is average but it was close to where we live. UPDATE: You’ll notice that Sue has decided to comment below stating more lies. 1.) She states that one of us works for a competitor. This is irrelevant as his hotel isn’t anywhere near inn on the lake. I and the other 7 people do not work for a competitor and we were all posting negative reviews 2.) She complains that we used social media to «trash» them. In this day social media is where complaints are sent and it’s how you reply that defines your company. 3.) She states that we used profanity and attacked them in the deleted facebook thread. This is incorrect, not once were they attacked or was profanity used. 4.) It’s unfortunate that a business cannot take responsibility and instead decide to call it’s paying clients«liars». They do this all time(check out trip advisor, Unilocal, facebook, and twitter).

Many meals have I had on Encore’s beautiful deck, watching the cars speed by on the highway while the lupins sway in the breeze. Never have I reviewed you. So let’s change that. Another mother-daughter meal was had here and while it was an all right meal, I can’t help feeling the sunny skies and warm breeze did more for me than the food did. We split an order of chilled Tiger shrimp, and I could have happily eaten these all day. Big and meaty, with two different sauces spread over spinach leaves, this was awesome. When our mains came, I knew my mother had come out the clear winner. Her clubhouse looked picturesque, and her fries were AMAZING. Seriously. I want and will get an order of these to go so that I may make them into a poutine worthy of a Queen. I had the Roast Beef Dip, and instead of fries, I had the spinach salad. Swimsuit season, you know. The salad was crisp and crunchy, and I loved the tiny little metal pitcher the dressing came in. The sandwich is where I felt let down. The menu said something about horseradish(I cannot double check, the menu on the website is out of date– boo-urns!), but there was none of that on my sandwich. There was no sauce or garnish at all! It was nothing but a skinny baguette piled with four slices of very thick roast beef, not the thin slices I was expecting. I know it’s still the same meat, but I will always take thin over thick. Ask the deli section at Pete’s. They loathe how thin I have them shave my ham. The sandwich needed something to give it a kick, to wake it up. I ate half, but couldn’t finish the rest due to boredom. The jus for dipping was all right, but still a bit bland. The whole thing needed more flavour. Overall, however, we had a fantastic time. Our waitress was sweet as could be and very attentive, and I’ve had enough on this menu to know it’s still worth re-visiting. You just might want to avoid the Roast Beef Dip, that’s all.

Found at the charming Inn on the Lake in Fall River, en route to the airport, Encore is a cozy restaurant that has much more character than you’d expect for anything falling under the unfortunate banner of ‘hotel restaurants’. Its multiple levels within the small space makes for a more intimate feel when you land in your own personal corner and on a nice day, the views of the lake would be spectacular. Our visit today was for a nice brunch which was served from 11 – 2. The one-page menu had plenty to choose from(Eggs Benny, fishcakes, a gorgeous skillet and omelets) and was really reasonably priced. Our four-person meal came out at $ 56 which I’ve easily spent on just two brunch plates before. A quick glance at the rest of the menu showed the higher prices that you’d expect of a place like this although there were SO many options to choose from including a full page highlighting their many gluten-free dishes. The fishcakes and skillet dish(The Farmer) were complete standouts from the table but unfortunately the Eggs Benny were a bit of a let down. The plate seems to have been either popped back in the oven after it was made, or put under an overzealous heat lamp that left the Hollandaise brown on the top and solidified throughout-a crime against my strong brunching beliefs. Still, we felt good about the price, we still cleared out plates, and we felt good about Encore as a great option to fuel up before a day of air travel.
