I’ve gone to the moose aka toothy a couple of times. I’m not much of a fan, it’s trying to do country but also dance club things, the two seem incompatible to me. I’d recommend going elsewhere but if you’re really into country music then I suppose that might allow sufficient justification for you to attend.

Good lord. The atmosphere is a garage with holes in the walls. Actually there are several holes in the walls, right above the 3 booths they have. This place i went once, and wont be back again. I honestly felt like i was in a dungeon when i was here. Update this place, it needs it,

I’m not sure whether it was the mood I was in, the dance music, or the ridiculous buck-toothed moose head over the entrance, but my first experience at the Toothy Moose was a blast. The place is absolutely massive and wide open, so there’s not much pushing and shoving and plenty of room to dance. The bar is supposed to have a country feel, but it doesn’t always. It’s a great place to come and shake it all out, if you can get past the young men trying to cop a feel.

Terrible staff(bartenders are snobby, wear pounds of make-up and are virtually brain dead.) Bouncers are fairly nice for bouncers in downtown Halifax. Maybe I’m too old to be reviewing this place, but there is not a chance in hell I’d be caught dead in Toothy Moose again, ever.
