Place is always packed so expect to wait. Obviously the bigger the party the longer the wait cause the place is small. Service is always friendly and efficient. Was not lovin’ the«Chicago» style pizza at first but now I order it without the extra tomato sauce on top. Instead I get garlic butter and it’s absolutely wonderful. I found the tom sauce on top made the whole pizza really wet. The pasta is always cooked perfectly. Menu has been the same for a while now. Wish they would change it up.

Totally downhill. I tried to order again today for the 3rd time in the last 6 months. This time it was going to be 90 minutes for pick up, what kind of a joke has this business become? They have terrible hours, if I could change the cheese I would have years ago and it’s expensive. Past experiences are the only reason I gave this place a 2nd and 3rd try… save your time, find something new. The only positive thing that remains at 534 Upper Sherman Ave is the memories. 90 minutes for a pizza, who manages this place? Perhaps a basic business course at Mohawk College would help you learn about scheduling staff and delivering product to your customers. This place is already dead, it will be interesting to see how much money they throw away trying to keep it limping along on borrowed time and money… Totally disappointed, I will never even attempt to order from this place again.

My family orders from here twice a month, the quality of the food every time is always the most delicious. I would recommend going here 100%. We only ever get take out the restaurant it self inside is way to small and it’s always very busy and crowded, loud. If you order on a Friday or Saturday evening make sure it’s right when they open or the wait will be up to 90 min.

If you haven’t been here, get in here for a pie. I’ve been to over 300 pizzerias, and nothing compares to Chicago Style Pizza. It’s, dare I say, better than pizza from Chicago ;) I’ve been a proud supporter for over 10 years If you’re not feeling pizza, and are a pasta fan, try the red and white pasta. Fettuccini Alfredo sauce mixed with chicken parm; out of this world If you give this place anything less than a 5 star review, you don’t know food

I went to the Shack for dinner a while ago and had a great time. On first impression, the décor is really calming and comfortable. The place is a little small though. But on to the food! All in all, I was happy with it. This was my first deep dish pizza experience, so I can’t really compare it with alternatives, but I got the feeling that the cheese to marinara sauce ratio was a little too cheese heavy.(Ya, I just said too much cheese. I’m disappointed in myself too…) We got a Hawaiian and a pepperoni by the way. I would for sure go back, but not before seeing what some of the competitors had to offer,(and not before an hour or two at the gym beforehand).

Went there on Sunday around 7pm. Very busy place. Very nice and cosy inside. Very delicious pizza. And they are very generous with the toppings.

The stuffed pizza is amazing. My friend and I split one with mushrooms, green peppers, and tomato slices, and it was fantastic. I would totally drive to Hamilton to get it again.

A neighbour told us about this place a while ago but we kept forgetting about it as we would have had to drive there. She tipped us off on the new delivery potential. They increased their delivery area!!! Now we are within the delivery area in the lower city of Hamilton. This is now the ONLY pizza permitted to cross our threshold, as per the boss. In our first ever order we just ordered two medium pizzas, thought it was a bit pricey but… Enough for the two of us for a meal with little if any left over, from any other place. These two pizzas fed us for two and a half days! That’s three meals a day for a total of seven meals for two. Each topping of the pizza covers the entire surface, not just a few scattered pieces, with five toppings it becomes very heavy! They were also quite thick! On delivery we have been told as long as 1 ½ hours and it shows up far faster, just over half an hour often.

Shared a small(6 slices) meaty(i forget the name now) stuffed pizza with the bf. Had to wait about 5−10min to be seated at around 6pm on a Saturday and another 40 min after we ordered. Well worth it!!! So much cheese and meat in the pie… The bf can barely finish his 3 slices. I was dying after one and a half and had to take the last slice to go(had it for brunch the next day, still delicious as ever). If you ever drop by Hamilton, you should come here.

I came here on Sunday night with my boyfriend’s family. We ordered 2 large spaghettis with meatball and italian sausage. I’m definitely coming back for their spaghetti — it’s around $ 10 per plate and you add on the sides(meatball, italian sausage etc.) I wasn’t a fan of the deep dish just because there was so much filling … but then I that’s pretty much the point. The waitress made all the difference in the world though. As we were ordering she pointed out the difference between a deep dish(the actual Chicago style) and a thick crust(a regular pizza type) & let us know the Chicago pizza would be a 30 minute wait. She kept on saving us $ as we were ordering! She told us garlic bread wasn’t a good idea as we were already ordering too much carbs and it would fill us before the pizza/pasta came & brought us the complimentary bread right away. Hands down one of the best experience at a restaurant. The only con is that if you come here on a weekend you’ll basically be waiting forever since there’s about 10 tables and seat roughly 30 people.

I really really wanted to rate this place a 4 or 5, but was actually a disappointed with the pizza and overall experience. Having craved deep dish pizza ever since having it in the US, and frantically searching for a place serving authentic«Chicago-style,» I was wayyy too excited to find this place… which is probably part of the reason why it was disappointing. SERVICE: Was willing to make the long drive here on the way to Niagara. Being a smaller establishment, I assumed there would be a bit of a wait… but when ‘a bit’ turns into over an HOUR just to get seated, that’s when I start to get annoyed. This place has an interesting system where you pre-order your food at the register before getting seated, which is why I was somewhat off-put by having to wait another 10 – 15 minutes after being seated to actually get our food(they told us it would be there already). FOOD: The long wait, and the snarky waitress aside, the pizza itself was just OK. The«Thick crust» pizza we ordered was not actually deep-dish, as suggested by the waitress — it was just a basic pizza quite similar to something you can get from a Domino’s. So it turns out, only the«Stuffed pizza» here is actually Deep-dish style. Given that we ordered Italian sausage, pepperoni, and green peppers, was expecting a bit more taste. Although it was nice and cheesy, the crust was so bland compared to the buttery crust of legit Deep-dish places in the US. VERDICT: They do serve deep-dish(if you order the right pizza), but the quality and wait-times doesn’t justify the long drive or high-ish prices.

We’ve been here before this post and have always enjoyed the food. Street parking is available(no parking lot). We called in advance of leaving our house and were told there was a half an hour wait. By the time we drove the 1 km, the wait exceeded an hour and a half. Let’s see now if it was worth it… Okay, wait time was only an hour. To the question«was it worth the wait» — hell ya. The restaurant is a small quaint little place, which seats I believe about 40 people. The staff are very friendly and efficient. We all had the Veal Parmesan, with more than enough to last for an extra meal tomorrow. I think folks would enjoy anything on their menu.

Just ordered from them for the first time, oh my gosh! I had ravioli it melted in my mouth, so good. My partner had the veal park with a side of 2 meatballs and loved it. the bad, waiting an hour and a half for delivery. The only reason I am only giving them a 4 instead of 5.

Just got back from this place. What an enjoyable meal! I have been to Chicago before Unilocal, and this brought back memories. If Arnold Palmer was here before Unilocal and has an autograph photo on the wall… should I say more? ok, I will. Maury Povich was here too. Lol. I got the stuff crust pizza, and 3 Molson Canadians. I left with 4 slices(I got the 10 cut) I would have given this place a five, but, the service was ok. Total time: In and Out, a little over an hour. I will go back again!!! Arnold Palmer was here!!!

While I haven’t had their deep dish pizza, I have had their gnocchi, and I must say it surpassed expectations! They were very tender and melted in my mouth, and the meat sauce that I ordered them in was superb! A word of advice: if you are planning on trying this place, call ahead. They are always very busy.

My son saw this place featured on ‘You Gotta Eat Here’ and wanted to try the stuffed(deep dish) pizza so I relented and we want over to check it out. The place wasn’t packed but we had to wait 10 minutes to get a table. Once seated it did take 30 minutes for them to make the pizza, but they let us know from the start. I was actually aware of that so I had brought things for my kid to read and watch in case he got bored. It was well worth the wait, but stuffed pizza(ours had pepperoni, ham and bacon inside) was amazing! The staff was very friendly, it was quiet and a nice place to hang out. I enjoyed coming to Chicago Style Pizza and will not hesitate to visit again. The food was amazing and even the little guy loved it! Recommended if you want some amazing homemade pizza!

I came all the way here to specifically try the Deep Dish Pizza they served just because I am in love with them every since my Chicago trip. I salivated at the prospects of eating what I considered the best pizza ever at a location that is so close to my hometown of Toronto. I got here and ordered up the Stuffed Deep Dish Pizza with the Chicago Style toppings. When the made to order pizza arrived 20 – 30 minutes later, the crust was indeed thick like a true Chicago pizza. However, the taste of the ingredients and the quality of the dough was not up to par to my expectations after having multiple servings of the real thing from Chi-town. The sauce used here was rather bland and the crust was a bit dry with no taste at all despite being stuffed with cheese. The pizza still was ok and I would say to try it if you have never experience this type pizza before or if you are not going to Chicago anytime soon. However, if you have ever tried the real thing, it obviously pales in comparison and will likely just leave you disappointed based on your frame of reference already engraved into your mind.
