Absolutely delightful evening! Outstanding food, great staff, and wonderful atmosphere. Could not ask for a better experience. We will be back!

My experience at Claudio’s Ristorante was not as good as I was hoping it would turn out. I reserved a table for two for Valentine’s day, and the place was packed tight. My date was intimidated by how tight the seating was and it soured the date a bit but that was not as nearly as painful as the bill was on my wallet.
We ordered a romantic ‘special’ and I ended up forking out over one hundred and seventy dollars when it was all said and done. The food itself wasn’t even that good and based on that experience, I likely won’t be going back anytime soon if at all.
Worst of all, their debit machine didn’t work (or the waiter didn’t know how to use it properly) and I ended up having to use an ATM to pay the bill, which cost me an extra $ 4 to use the machine. Another frustration that made this a very unpleasant dining experience for me. A shame too because I had such high hopes for this place.

Delicious Italian restaurant! Such friendly staff, that when we showed up between lunch and dinner, they served us anyway! We may have also had a slight connection that resulted in complementary wine.
Really yummy pastas, the four cheese gnocchi is to die for, diverse selection, good wine list, all moderately priced.
The dessert we had wasn’t TOO impressive, your average cheesecake stored in the fridge, but not bad. The show stopper was the pasta, and the rest of the menu was equally impressive. We mentioned we were underwhelmed by the cake, and they took it off our bill! Again, great customer service!
Tea, coffee, espresso all available and good, so a great stop for lunch or dinner if you’re downtown Hamilton.
If you show up at Cantina for lunch (and it’s closed at 2:30pm), Claudio’s is just a 2 minute walk away.
It’s in an old, beautiful home, but I may have seen a mouse underneath our table. Gross yes, but the food was still delicious.
