Cornerstone Select Properties

Cornerstone manage two Hamilton house that I own with my wife. They find tenants well enough — though many weren’t vetted and went on to damage our property and leave with rent in arrears. The real problem comes when one expects any other sort of service or accountability. That is, we deal with emergencies (their emergency line is often unattended), repairs (theirs aren’t quoted prior to being billed, are too expensive, and are unsatisfactory), tenant issues etc. It’s hard to imagine a «property manager» doing any less than Cornerstone does.

Cornerstone recently took over as property management for the three storey walk up I live in. This building was built in the twenties and had been neglected by the previous owners for a very long time resulting in a number of severe and long standing issues.
Since taking the reigns the crew at Cornerstone have managed to nearly completely resolve a long standing chronic pest problem, secured the building which was previously unlocked, overhauled a dying heating and hot water system, promptly replaced dying appliances as necessary and are working on a number of other long standing issues in order of severity.
The owner of Cornerstone has been very hands on and I have found him to be professional and reasonable in all of my dealings with him. He is quick to reply to emails and works to find solutions to issues that arise that are amicable to both the tenant and property owners.
