Hamilton Guesthouse

My first ever stay at a hostel has made me a convert. The Hamilton Guest House has all of the amenities of the Best Western but with a quieter atmosphere and a more relaxed ‘staff’. Tom and Tanya were both warm and welcoming from first contact to last departure. They allowed me to leave my bags after check-​out so that I could take advantage of and extra few hours of playing tourist in Hamilton. This was much appreciated.
I stayed in the dormitory and had a large comfortable bed. Tom ensured I had sufficient pillows and blankets. Among the amenities: Hair dryer, washer and dryer, full shower and tub, kitchen with coffee and tea available.
Tom also had a movie night planned so I enjoyed watching «Guardians of the Galaxy» (my second time, but was still fun). This movie night actually started with a lively discussion of many topics and ended with another discussion. We ended up chatting until midnight because we were having so much fun!
Conveniently located near many bus routes and walking distance from the VIA and Go train station.
Only two blocks from Hamilton’s main street and art district allows quick access to a variety of dining options and excellent opportunity to see wonderful works of art!
I highly recommend the Hamilton Guest House!

What a beautiful hostel in a great old industrial city. Nice beds and some great new events happening in the lounge area. Hamilton is a hidden gem for indie music, art and food. I am glad I found this place.
