Jonny Blonde

The lady and I are way into food trucks. If there’s a congregation of food trucks, we often pull over for a sampling of deliciousness, even if we have just eaten. Our favorite (by far) is Jonny Blonde.
The people — Jonny and The Gypsy are sweet, kind and very passionate about their food. I once asked a question about the jerk chicken and was given a comprehensive lesson about scotch bonnet peppers by a crazed hippie. It was great! Layal is always smiling, even when there’s a long lineup of bodies. What a great couple.
The food is as good as anything out of a fine restaurant. I think a lot of food trucks in Hamilton are glorified French fry stands, but JB is the real deal. Do you like spice? Do try the jerk chicken (and prepare yourself for an education on peppers). The chicken and brie sandwich is also to die for. Truthfully, I haven’t had anything out of the truck that I can’t recommend. It’s that good.
