Let Them Eat Cakes

this place is sooooooooo girly and I love it!

Our tasting experience left much to be desired. Lynne didn’t seem to care to listen to our requests, rather she prefers to use invitations, colour schemes from bridesmaid dresses, pictures of the gown etc. in order to make her cakes. Even though we specified that we had no interest in incorporating any of these elements, she was still very persistent since she claims she needs them to put together a cake. Her cake designs also seem to be rather repetitive for someone that uses all of her requested arbitrary elements for intricate details.
No samples were offered. We had to ask for her to provide us with them and most flavours of cakes were not available either. The samples that we did try all seemed to have excessively sweet frosting and dry cake.
We were also high balled on the price big time. We had already been to visit a couple other cake boutiques (bobette & belle and Cake Opera Co.) whom have had features in national bridal magazines and she was wishing to charge substantially more for nowhere near the end result We will definitely be making our decision between the other two now that we have failed to find a Hamilton business.
Overall, it just seemed like a very unprofessional experience. She does’t listen to customer requests, she pushes for what she wants to do. There are much better cake places out there.
