I come here all the time as my husband loves burgers and I only eat veggie burgers so this is a great compromise because I can still choose from the huge list of toppings and just get mine on a veggie patty or portobello mushroom cap. I have read at other locations that people seem to think it’s expensive but I dine out quite often and I’d say it’s very comparable. Keep in mind that the portions are huge, bottomless fries and and they aren’t skimpy on the cheese! I’ve tried a few different ones like: The Tom Green — gouda, beechouse sauce, avocado and bacon(which I omitted). Very good. The beechouse sauce is amazing! Fire Station #6 — avocado, salsa, sour Cream and jalapeños. It was fine but the jalapeños were surprisingly not that spicy which made me pretty sad since I love them. could haveI also felt like the burger could have used some sort of sauce as the salsa seemed like just a but if diced tomatoes and there wasn’t much sour cream. Son of a Beech — avocado, feta, sundried tomatoes and beechouse sauce. This one is the best one ever! I HIGHLY recommend substituting the feta for goat cheese. Even though I like to try new ones, nothing has compared to this one.

Food: The burgers were delicious, I had the Hamburger Mary with extra avacado and it was the definitely something I would come back for. It had just the right combination of savory flavours. We chose beef patties for all our burgers, but my friend ordered the Hunka Hunka which is peanut butter, banana & bacon on top of the patty which was an interesting taste… Its not something I would actively go to the restaurant to eat but it wasn’t bad. I upgraded my side to a poutine and it was an amazing decision: the gravy tasted just right, their cheese curds weren’t to dry or chunky. I enjoy how the drinks were bottomless as I ended up having about a litre and a half of nestea(which I don’t regret in the slightest). Service: The waitress was friendly, she brought everything out in a timely manner and frequently checked up on us. She was great and did her job perfectly. Environment: We sad in a the area that was connected to the mall portion of Jackson Square and the giant window to allow for an open concept was right behind us. The feel inside the restaurant was good, I personally wasn’t facing the window so I don’t know if the view ruined the atmosphere for my friends but I was fine.

Great Service! I am a Mohawk student who came in for lunch with my girlfriend. We attempted to pay with my OneCard but the restaurants machine broke down and the ended up giving us our meal for free. I specifically went to this location because they accepted the Mohawk OneCard. I deeply apologize that I couldn’t pay for it any other way as I am a student and if anybody else is a student they know how much college can cost. I’d also like to apologize to my waitress, Lisa and the other waitress who attempted to assist us. Next time I’m in I will specifically ask for Lisa and she will definitely get a big tip! I absolutely feel terrible about this. Please as a tip get a new machine for the onecards! Thanks again to LISA for being an amazing waitress. And again I am deeply sorry for the trouble I caused. I hope it isn’t taken out of your pocket. It wasn’t too high of a bill but I had absolutely no other way of paying at that time. Thanks again for the 10⁄10 service we received! And again I apologize!

Very good burger and fries. There was only one other person seated Yet the service was very slow. Unfortunately that other person was a vegetarian nutbar! She was yelling and insulting me. I asked to be moved to another table but that just had the server confused. Still I must admit the food was really good. I might give it another chance Someday,

Me and my friend visited the new location on upper James we were surprised how busy they were for a tues nite. We didn’t order burgers even tho they did look amazing, we had some apps the onion rings, spinach and cheese dip and the deep fried pickles. I must say the onion rings were so crispy and crunchy even came with 2 dips. Our waitress was so nice and friendly would go back again

The burgers are big, interesting selection of suggested combinations. Do not be afraid to ask for a not listed combination of toppings. A different ambiance using a workshop theme. Cute naming of the washrooms(gender is clear, the added descriptors are the fun part). As we were at the Jackson Square location I cannot say the other locations are similar. The entrance is a bit deceptive but it is clearly the entrance, go see the foreman. The theme continues with piping, valves, and gauges, onto the parts tray used to serve your meal. Roll up garage doors and tin walls conclude the effects. Reasonable selection of beers, including drafts, and other drinks. Not on the low price end but McD doesn’t offer domestic elk either. Enjoy!

All the great Works burgers and assorted items, food was very good across the board. Staff was pleasant, but service was brutally slow, over 45 minutes from ordering to burgers on table. We got there at 5 hoping to get our group to Bulldogs game(4 minutes away) by 6, we didn’t get in the rink till 6:45. Won’t be returning completely based on the slow service.

Great menu, fully customizable, in an unpretentious environment. Very fun! I had a downunder burger, and my friend had(something with beets on it). The burgers were tasty, cooked to medium-rare, and just the right amount of drizzle. We ordered a poutine with my burger, and she got the home-made chips. The poutine was large, but the chips were soggy(slightly under-cooked with some extra oil). In general, the sizes were very generous, and we left very full. Service was fast and friendly. The location and washrooms were clean. I won’t be a regular here(honestly, it’s a little too much food for me and I don’t stop eating just because I’m full — those burgers are a yummy challenge and I need to BEATTHEM!!), but I would totally take out a friend who was visiting for a casual and fun lunch experience.

Came here for a quick bite before Super Crawl. Good tasting burger with AYCE fries. I like the fact that we were able to customize our meal by selecting our own side, bun and pattie. Burger was cooked to a nice pink center(medium) so it was nice and moist. Service could’ve been better though. Once the food came out the server disappeared; we had to flag them down to get the cheque.

We had high hopes for this place. As vegetarians, we rarely get to enjoy a gourmet burger joint, so we were excited to see that this place had two vegetarian patty options: a «Gourmet Veggie» patty and a portobello mushroom cap. My partner is not keen on portobellos, so when the server told us that the«gourmet veggie» patties were handmade on site and not shipped in, we both opted for that. The choices of burger topping combinations were cleverly named, and we giggled as we read through the menu, ultimately choosing the Kamikaze(jalapeño, chipotle & banana peppers, cheddar and«hotter than hell sauce»), and The Hipster(caramelized onions, avocado and Havarti). For sides, my partner got the Spicy Die-Cut Chips, and I opted for the Spicy Bold Slaw. For dessert, we each ordered an 8 oz. hand scooped shake: I ordered the special, «Pumped Up Pumpkin Shake», and my partner asked for a combination of coconut and pineapple. Our server – Rory123 is what the bill called him but he never actually introduced himself – was pleasant, patiently answered our numerous questions, brought our orders in a timely fashion, and checked on us often. The décor featured construction materials like conduit and copper wire arranged in attractive designs, corrugated metal walls, and faux brick walls. The food was presented in a similarly casual and unpretentious way: the burgers and sides were served on metal trays, and the shakes came in 8 oz. Pyrex measuring cups. When our meals arrived, the sides were great: my slaw was very tasty, and the die-cut chips were nicely crisped and seasoned well enough to not require any condiments. The combination of toppings we ordered worked well together: the«hotter than hell sauce» was aptly named, as the first bite of the Kamikaze burger started pretty hot, then got hotter as time went on. A word about the«Gourmet Veggie» patty: my partner ditched hers after two bites, stating it had the texture of «a shitty veggie burger patty from the Burger King». Tam hates burger patties that are composed of mashed up soy that has been pressed together, but ordered it anyway, hopeful that the server’s comment about the patties being hand made on site could mean a higher quality product. I have to agree that the patties had a weird texture, reminding me of Bob Evans sausage patties(we weren’t always vegetarians), or McDonald’s sausage McMuffin patties. We’ve had far superior vegetarian burgers elsewhere, and this was a disappointment. After our burgers came our shakes. My pumpkin shake was thick, tasted like pumpkin pie and was topped with whipped cream and graham crumble. To me, Tam’s shake tasted like plain ice cream; she said she could detect a hint of coconut, but no pineapple. The shakes were thick and we really had to work at those straws, making it feel like a real dessert. I would try The Works again to find out if the Portobello option is better than the veggie patty. But given my partner’s disdain for Portobellos, I would likely be eating alone.
