Decent food. Great wait staff. Very kind and friendly. It wasn’t busy at all so we got to pick our table. Nice log cabin atmosphere with lots of screens to watch sports. The waitress kindly split the bill for us.

Good for drinks, food is mediocre and priced high(to be expected in a tourist town), the ambience is wonderful, and the waitresses seem very friendly! Overall 3 stars.

The service is sub-par, food average, and a bit of an unfriendly atmosphere. The décor is pretty cool, built like a log cabin. Nice outdoor seating area, and a couple of the female staff members have some solid enhancements. The bloody marys are not good, to say the least. Overall, not that great but limited options in the area. Would give this place another chance if in the area, as they did have several brews on tap.

Worst bloody mary ever! When I asked the bartender if there was liquor in it, she copped an attitude and said«yeah, I made it myself». It was thick and tasted like cold Campbell’s tomato soup, and the rim was caked in coarse salt! The bartender refused to make good by telling me she can’t «just give away free alcohol». Will never, ever come back here. Ever. The décor is kind of cool though. There, I managed to justify the one star I had to give.

A ok. Better food an prices compared to other restaurants in the area. Distracted waitress deducts stars. I just want a full ketchup bottle and pay, must I wait 30 minutes each time. Would be a 2 star in Vancouver but given the limited options in the area, this s ok and I’d return if I’m ever back — dont count on it anytime soon though.

Good menu selection, I got the pulled pork with a side salad and it was great! Very nice place, inside is gorgeous with a great looking bar. Friendly and inviting with outside seating for when it’s warm. Had to show two forms of ID though, but that’s no big deal. Definitely a hot spot to stop at by the lake! Would recommend. Not family friendly though, no minors are allowed in.

Team Tastic opted for takeout and ordered the Settler Schnitzel(German beaten fried pork sautéed BC mushrooms, mozza cheese and homestyle gravy) and the Appy Platter(hot wings, zucchini stix, potato wedges, onion rings, spring rolls, carrots, celery and broccoli with plum & ranch sauces for dipping). Essentially we wanted a bit of everything in our hungry time of need. Everything here comes out looking the same colour and in wonderfully unsustainable styrofoam containers. The schnitzel was quite dry, though crunchy, making for a mediocre experience. It was also buried underneath a mountain of fries and wasn’t a pretty sight(I eat with my eyes first). In addition, the zucchini sticks were fragileand broke upon contact with fork. The hot wings were pretty subpar and could be compared to something you’d be disappointed with at any fast food Chinese place. The onion rings were, you guessed it, also soggy and unprepared for the challenge of being picked up by a fork. All in all, this was a bag of calories, and not a very good one at that. I’ve got to say the veggies were the best part here(and the most colourful!).

Options are limited in harrison hot springs village. After trying our hotel, and another place in town, all future meals were consumed at settler’s. So, for that I give it a relative 5 stars. Decent IPA on tap and all the pub grub you can manage. We tried breakfast here on our last day and were not impressed. Hands down, worst bloody mary ever(I watched the bartender add ice, then vodka, then about ¼ cup of worcestershire sauce, then a couple of shakes of tobasco, then a dash of tomato, then top the whole thing off with water… which was then served unmixed– imagine a browny-red tequila sunrise, if you will). The coffee was also terrible. So, skip the breakfast. But, beer and pub fare? Yes!

Portions are small, overpriced, and service was poor. Even iced tea was charged for a refill. Greasy fries.

A return visit for dinner, late-May/14, and just two of us this time. Although the beer ‘on-tap special’ was not a particular favourite brand of mine, it was priced«right», and was cool, refreshing, and enjoyed. Sure wish I could say that about the food we ordered! It was their ‘house’ hamburger for she, and the ‘pub club’(w/sourdough bread) for me. Thinking we could share, she ordered salad with her burger, and I ordered fries with my club. The good part … the service … and what we ordered came to our table as ordered, and was well-presented. The not so good part … the preparations of the food left much to be desired. The meat patty for the burger was dry and over-cooked. The salad, served in a separate bowl, consisted of a small pile of chopped iceberg lettuce, with one slice of cucumber on top of the pile! The club was terribly dry and poorly-prepared as well(I hardly call one, very small, thin piece of lettuce leaf«glued» to one side of the bun with a thin smear of ‘mayo’, sufficient«dressing» for a club sandwich!!). The fries were plenty, and ‘ok’. It was a rather costly, disappointing meal, and not up to ‘standards’ we’ve enjoyed there in the past. I bit my tongue this time, we ate what we could, and did not complain, but suspect this dining experience will definitely influence any further future visits.

Charged $ 1.00 for pop refills!!! Service very slow. Chicken wings were good but all of the other dishes we ordered(4 of us) were below average. Even my Cesar salad had no taste.

Had the Cajun Chicken burger on the server’s recommendation. Nice spice, not too hot. Fries were excellent. Nice and crispy! Server was great. Busy but attentive.

First time I’ve gone someplace, didn’t know where to eat and found that the pub couldn’t make pub grub!!! It’s ridiculously overpriced and they can’t even make basic pub staples like fisn and chips or nachos.

This place is amazing! It’s probably closer to a 4, but the service/staff is incredible so I had to give it a 5. Absolutely the best place to go in Harrison Hot Springs. My husband and I were just up here for the weekend from Seattle. The had a potato skins appetizer special on Wednesdays and I asked if they only the potato skins were available on Wednesdays or if it was only that price. Our waitress Jodi went and asked the cook; it wasn’t normally on the menu, but the cook made it for us anyways. My husband wanted the prime rib, but they had ran out earlier. Normally you would just have to suck it up, but they felt bad and gave us two Yorkshire Puddings to compensate. Whaaaa??! Crazy awesome service. He ended up getting the lamb sirloin and I got the schnitzel sebastian… holy shit, so good. Breaded chicken breast topped with a blend of crab and prawn, with melted cheese in a white wine cream sauce. Mmmmmmm, SOGOOD! And Jodi was amazing! She was friendly and answered all of our questions. Was available when we needed her, but didn’t hover. Just an amazing personality, all smiles and helpful. And a big thanks to the cook. They really went above and beyond. This place is a warm, comfortable place to have good food, good drinks, and hang out. It’s a little pricier than the pubs in the states, but I think most of Canada is that way, so its about par for the course on that front. Will definitely be coming back here when I visit again!

I think this is the only pub in Harrison Hot Springs right now, the other one had shut down. So you might expect this place to be really lacking, right? But, actually it’s pretty good! The food is fresh and tasty, and more sophisticated that I expected(but it’s still standard pub fare). We were here on a rainy, rainy, rainy, February Friday afternoon for lunch after a relaxing soak at the pool. Our server was friendly and efficient. Mr. B enjoyed his burger, and I ordered a very good salad — my only complaint was that the blueberries in it were dried and far too sweet for my tastes. Looks like a rustic log cabin inside and out, there was a fireplace that I wish had been on — just for ambiance though, as it was warm and cozy but looking out at the drizzle… Mostly locals in there for lunch, the staff seemed to know everyone that came in.

We were in Harrison Hot Springs for 4 nights and we ate here for lunch one day and dinner twice. Its a cool rustic pub that is decorated with lots of wood carvings, to match the log cabin type feel. The service and food selection each time was great. We tried a variety of items. We had a chicken salad for lunch and the appy platter. Prime rib dinner on a Fri & a Monday night. The first night, it was perfect ! Large portion of beef, baked potato, Yorkshire pudding, veggies, & salad. OMG yum ! Plus the drink feature«Blue Hawaiian was excellent ! The Sunday prime rib encore was not as good, however the issue was solved immediately, leaving me extremely impressed at the customer service A++ I would highly recomend is place to anyone. Enjoy !

Food was good quality. It was recommended by a good friend, with enthusiasm, however the attention was about the usual level as you’d get at a busy restaurant. Definitely better than most places around Harrison.

We come to Harrison once a year in the winter. We usually eat at the Copper Room, but were looking for a better deal. We wound up spending way more here, but also getting more. The food is pretty good, my steak was a little thin and there fore a little over cooked, but still pretty good. Our waitress was working her booty off. We really liked her. We were surprised at how expensive drinks were $ 7 beers can really ad up. I would still go back though, nice place to get a bite to eat, full of locals and hockey on the television.

First off, man, I love the smell in here. Smoked hickory. Wish I could bottle it up and take it home(you can: get some Liquid Smoke). Like the dark, «woody» atmosphere, and the bar area was cool as well. Portions were quite generous. We had the Tostada(?) and NY Steak Salads, as well as the BBQ Riblets appetizer. All were EXCELLENT. Even the coffee was unusually good. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, if a bit slow. Had to wait probably 15 – 20 minutes after completing the meal to get the check. To their credit, it was busy, but the place is probably still understaffed, particularly on Saturdays when the Canucks come in droves to watch their hockey and curling matches. They take reservations. Almost all of the ordinary 2– or 4-person tables are way too small. We had to constantly rearrange things to access various items. Not a lot of options in Harrison in the off-season, but this is pretty good for any season. The main reason I subtract a star is the price: two salads and an appetizer, plus tax and tip, came out to about $ 57CAD/USD. After paying $ 220/night in the off-season down the road at the Resort, nearly $ 60 for a light-ish meal for two is a bit unreasonable.

I have been coming up to Harrison Hot Springs to work for years now. I wish I had known about this place earlier. Of all the restaurants I have tried here the Old Settler Pub has the most buying power for your dollar. Not that it is cheap, but they offer good food at fair prices. The building is meant to look inside and out like a rustic cabin. Thus the interior is dark and cozy. The bar has a good selection of beverages to partake in. The menu has both typical pub fare and a nice selection of salads and meat and potato type dinners which are worth trying. When we received the bill and asked for it to be split the waitress had no issue and did it right away. I guess you just have to ask nicely.
