I confess I am not well experienced with Korean food. If it’s all like the meal I had at Cornerstone, it’s been sorely lacking from my Asian food portfolio. The service was friendly and the food came out lightning fast and delicious. The kitchen obviously makes the gyoza and fries it on order, because it showed up maybe a minute or so after I ordered, hot and delicious. I had the Dak-Galbi, spicy pan-fried chicken with veggies, and it was spicy, moist, and wonderful. The sauce turned the steamed rice into something great, and the waitress brought me extra kimchi — the perfect accent to the dish(honestly, I could probably have eaten an entrée of the kimchi, it’s delicious.) One of my favorite meals in Kamloops.

After the Remembrance day ceremony, I noticed this place is offering a 15% discount for takeouts. I decided to give this place a try. I ordered the chicken teriyaki($ 10.50), beef yaki soba(~$ 11) and dynamite combo($ 12) to go. I ordered at 2:25pm(no other customer was there). The order took about 15 mins to be ready. I asked them about the buffet because I noticed a buffet style setup in the front. She informed me that the buffet happens until 2pm each day(no dinner buffet). It costs $ 14 per person. I go there in the aftermath so all I see are the buffet signs. It looks like there are a wide selection of items: California rolls, dynamite rolls, 2 daily specials, a veggie roll option, and other seafood roll options, various tarts and desserts, yakisoba, tempura, gyoza, chicken karage, etc. About 12 — 4 person tables and 3 — 2 person tables. It looks like they have a separate party room for any private functions. So, I took home my goodies and went home to devour. Dynamite combo: good. The dynamite roll has 2 shrimps. It is nice and big. The miso soup doesn’t have anything inside except 2 really small tofu bits. The sushi is fresh and nicely gripped. Beef yaki soba: good. Good amount of meat: noodle ratio. Lack a bit of sauce. Reasonable portion. Chicken teriyaki: good. Again, good amount of meat: rice ratio. Lack a bit of sauce. Reasonable portion. Overall: Yes, I will come back again.

I dropped by this place on my way back from a business trip. I was very tired after a long drive on HWY1 and had the urge to have Korean food(something spicy). I found this place on Unilocal,it had only two reviews but I decided to give it a try. I had the Korean style ‘Chirashi-don’(Hwae-Dup-Bap). The portion was generous, the sashimi was very fresh and the ratio between the rice, fish and fresh vegetables was very good. The sauce, which is the most important thing in this dish, was sweet enough, sour enough and spicy enough. The consistency of the thickness was good, it was easy to mix things evenly. Overall, I was surprised that I found a decent Korean restaurant in this small city, quite remote from Vancouver where I assumed there wouldn’t be so many Koreans around. I was very satisfied and I know it is good because I am Korean. I am confident that other items on the menu are also delicious. Thank you for an awesome meal, it helped me complete the rest of my drive to Vancouver. I got home safe and sound. If you are a traveler, and Korean on top of that, you must drop by for your comfort food. If you want to try some good Korean or Asian food, it is a safe place to start in this town. + the place was clean, nicely decorated and the waitress was really nice. I hope this review helps. Thanks!

Nice place to have korean food. The environment is good with light music. The taste is great. Dish amount is not much but the sushi comboes are cheap and fine!

Friendly, great sushi at a reasonable price. A good addition to the Kamloops food scene.
