General Grants South Shore Bottle Depot

I thought long and hard about writing this review. It’s kind of difficult to rank bottle depots as they don’t have to do much beyond offer the advertised service. However I do find that General Grants does a better job at this than other places I’ve been too. On all of my visits, the staff have been quick, efficient, and friendly.
You are always encouraged to sort your recyclables ahead of time and it can definitely be frustrating waiting behind someone who neglected to do so. The biggest issue here is that there isn’t really a set line. Instead it ends up being a bunch of people haphazardly standing around, waiting for their turn. I’ve never been here on an especially busy day but I could imagine this may get problematic. It can be stressful even with only 1 or 2 other people waiting.
The lack of parking at this location is also an issue. There are only a few spots dedicated to the bottle depot and they always seem to be filled no matter how many people are here waiting.
