I needed boots.
I am working outside and I had no good winter boots, having put the task off until I could find something on a budget that wasn’t ugly, a tough task.
So tonight after work I headed in the general direction of the Ugg store but wasn’t sure since we are expecting a lot of rain.
I thought Holt Renfrew might have Uggs and like it there, but their new store is badly laid out and I didn’t see a good collection of boots.
So I headed to the mall, meaning to just go out and along Robson street.
I spotted some boots in here and it occurred to me «hey I’m in a mall»
I am SO glad I went in!
They had Docs and Uggs and some other cool wintery boots, as well as these lovely lined Sorels which Is what i bought.
I was offered help by not one but 2 sales women whom I really liked, and the women who ended up helping me was quick and didn’t try to hard sell me.
The seating was plentiful and soft, and even though it was super busy (apparently there was some sort of sale going on) I felt I had enough room to find what I needed & was also rung through right away.
Oh, prices close to any other store in town.

Typically too distracted by Holt Renfrew, I was oblivious to this store until a few weeks ago when a friend took me.
My visit was very well timed, it was during their winter sale; unfortunately I have a common shoe size and everything I loved had already sold how, however I did pick up a pair of Michael Kors sandals for a very reasonable price — in fact I was looking at the same pair in Holt’s only they didn’t have the plain black I wanted.
I will note about their sale… it is crazy! Manolo Blahniks reduced to $ 200! There were a pair of Manolo boots reduced to $ 400 (and I know that pair retailed for +$ 1500). Their new Spring stock was on par with the offerings of the same brands at Holt Renfrew, and I thought they had a very good range of brands and prices.
Staff was friendly and helpful no matter what you were looking at, it is always really busy when I go in but have no problem getting sizes to try on or whatever (like how I often experience at other shoe stores).
Sale or no sale, I am officially an addict!
