Been here twice. First time was told the pork chop was«to die for». I almost did die; it was undercooked and rare in the middle. No rare pork for me please Second time I ordered the prime rib. Told server no horseradish(they smear is all over the top, not on the side like every place else). Received my meal with no horseradish but the taste was there. Someone obviously wiped it off. Never going back.

I was in town on business and decided to give it a try in spite of the very mixed reviews. High end décor, service was great with my Australian server, Tara. Friendly and attentive, without being too intrusive. Dinner was great, presented well, and was very good. A couple of small gripes. I’m in town on a business trip, using the wifi to do work. It kept crashing, very annoying. While I was there — early in the evening, it was probably about 1⁄3 full, but they had the music volume up like the places was jammed — too much. A good experience spoiled by details.

What can I say, steak very tough, wait staff very pleasant bit not high end restaurant quality, food was bland, steak was tough, no spices, avoid the house Caesar unless you love vinegar taste. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig. My opinion avoid at all costs. They need to go back to basics, we come for good food, not gimmicks.

Damn. I really want to like this place and there is a lot to like. The service and décor are really good and the I enjoyed my time sitting up at the bar talking to various bartenders over my 2 days here. But what let me down is the food. The 1st day I went for the prime rib and the 2nd day, the mushroom ravioli. For a steak house, I was disappointed that my slice of roast was bland and came with at least 3oz of uncooked fat. The ravioli was not fresh made and chunks of mushrooms left a sourness to the disk. Like I said, Damn. So like another reader, this leaves this place basically becoming a bar that serves food and that’s not what I’m looking for in a Chop House. I won’t say to not come here but it seems to me that there are other options that are priced a bit cheaper and better.

I like the chop house! We’ve been here and in Richmond and Kelowna and have been pleased with service and food both times. We came in and were seated right away. The food is consistently good so not sure why the negative reviews. I had French onion soup and steak bites as I had a big lunch at Big White, but the prime rib signature dinner was great, the chop burger was alright the fries were a little soggy, the lobster linguine was tomato based which was ok not my favorite, but overall dinner was good, no complaints here and the key lime pie was yummo! Bön appetit!

Food is pretty good. However order your steaks cooked under what you normally would because they overcook them.

To atmosphere is about the only thing we liked about Chop. Service is fair and the food was pitiful. We have been twice, the second time giving them the benefit of the doubt from the first try. It was disaster. The prime rib was tough and not good. I would drive by this one. One star is generous.

I took my wife here for our third wedding anniversary, and I couldn’t be more pleased about the evening. The food was phenomenal. Have the filet mignon. Seriously, it was absolutely delicious. We also had the Ahi tuna pillars, the gorgonzola dip, and the mac and cheese for two and can recommend all of them highly as well. The staff were wonderful. They asked us what the occasion was, and when they found out it was our anniversary they went above and beyond to make sure we had a great evening. When they found out my wife was pregnant, they comped our desserts as ordinarily they would have provided champagne. They even got the entire staff to sign a Happy Anniversary card for us! We were touched. I only leave reviews for places that treat me terribly, or impress the hell out of me. Chop falls into the latter category by a wide margin. You absolutely cannot miss it.

A 3 dressed up as a 9 My wife and I decided to try Chop for dinner on a Saturday night. When we entered one of the 2 greeters looked up from their conversation and said she would be right with us. The door opened behind us and another couple walked in, the greeter once again looked up, but this time stopped her conversation and asked the couple«table for2»? and escorted them into the dining area. My first reaction was WTF??? but not wanting to put off my night out with my wife I let it slide. Upon her return, she sat us. So we carry on with our evening… The food and service are standard for the Cactus Club, Joey’s, Earls level. however the prices would suggest a high end restaurant . Not so much. You could absolutely make a better choice for dinner in Kelowna, ORA is a few blocks down or Ric’s Grill downtown. Just to mention a few. Sorry Chop, I call them like I see them. Lew
