A little on the pricier side. Lunch and dinner are ok. Nothing special. But breakfast is awesome. I recommended people go for breakfast. They need to renovate and put money into working on their outdoor patio. It would be awesome sitting outside on the patio in the summer. It’s right on the river(go figure the name) and would be great sitting out there. Service is always great, everyone always has a smile on their face. Portions are huge, which is great. Almost everything seems to be homemade.

I had not been in a while, but had always enjoyed. Went mid week just before lunch, and was surprised to see it not too busy(once it hit noon it did really pickup). I had the eggs Benny and wasn’t disappointed! coffee was ok. View of the river on a nice day and great service. Will be back

I like this place. Certainly not gourmet food but staff is pleasant and my order is always right. I have had breakfast and dinner here. They can be slow but it’s a nice setting and we don’t go there to rush off. So that works.

I have to agree with Memphis S.(Completely) and Roy W.(to a certain degree) Bland boring food. I am Greek and would not ever consider any of my friends or readers to go here. As a matter of fact I would be down right embarrassed to refer it whatsoever and it would show a lack of having any form of palate towards fine dining. Nice looking place but a fail when they tried to conform it to a tourist attraction. the prices have to accommodate the rent they pay by the water side(Same as Boston Pizza) I went to have a nice home cooked meal with mashed potatoes and a steak caressed with a helping of veggies. Slow service coupled by a lack of enthusiasm makes for a disaster. You ask for a steak to be medium rare and the idiot in the back cooks it to a well done. The worst is the quality control was shown as the server wearing 1.2 tonnes of perfume violated my lungs and brought me a dish with a fly doing a backstroke in my mashed spuds. It was not just a fly by that dive-boomed in but was there when the idiot in the back slopped it on the plate. I did point it out to the severer once delivered to me and what did i get? Let me check with the owner please. She took the plate away as she was most uncertain as what to do with the food. She returned with the same plate and the mashed potatoes were simply scraped off the plate by the idiot in the kitchen as I had expressed I was not partial to extra protein in my food that was not ordered to begin with. I again pointed out the fact that it was the same bloody plate and the same food returned to me and she agreed that the idiot in the back just simply scraped off the violated spuds. I sent her back again and said I wanted to talk to the owner. She went to talk to him and advise. She returned and said he was very busy with other customers(No he was having a private party in front of us all with family and friends) I sent her off to talk to him again about my displeasure since he would not come to the table whatsoever. She returned with an answer. The owners response was… «Just eat around it and we will give you a free desert» EXCUSEME??? I wanted to go Postal on him for his response and it would had been bad for his family to have him buried in the waterfront by the hands of ONEENRAGEDGREEK! After a very diplomatic discussion the waitress while I held my temper and my wife was keeping me calm the waitress came back. the owner jackoff still sat with other family and friends he was having drinks with. The jerk was more concerned about sucking back shots with his friends than he was of a customer. I turned a kind disposition to the waitress as she was quite frightened as what I was going to do next. I asked for the bill, paid in full for my uneaten meal as my wife found hers tasteless as well. We quietly left the establishment to never return. Sandra M. an institution in Keswick since the 1930’s it may have once been… now I would not feed this tasteless shit to my dog. I could had gone to Wall-mart and bought a Hungry-man microwaveable dinner that had more flavor and satisfaction. Final assessment… Shit-hole until a new owner takes the reigns of this very potential well situated place. = –5 patrons. R.I.P. «The Riveredge Restaurant & Tavern» my family and friends shall not be returning.

We went to the Riveredge every weekend for a long time, and had good experiences every time, then it started to go south. The ownership changed and it would seem that the owner that liked giving good food and service left and all that was left was the one that liked skimping and making money. There have been a few price increases that are acceptable if the quality and service remains, but that went down as the prices went up. The last 3 times that we were there the service was so slow(and the restaurant was empty), the servers must have been relaxing in the kitchen because they were no where to be found when we needed more coffee(we got our own and no one noticed). The food portions were smaller and not cooked as thoroughly. The potatoes were undercooked and you would guess cooking it for less time would get it to the table faster but it still took 45 minutes to get our eggs. This restaurant went from my favourite and most recdomended to one I would tell you to avoid. Maybe the owner will realize the issues and fix them, untill then, I’ll be eating at my new favourite Keswick breakfast diner every saturday. Keswick Riveredge restaurant is definately not a good restaurant anymore.

Known for its all day breakfast and bottomless cups of coffee, The Riveredge, located right beside the Maskinonge River, has been a Keswick institution since the 1930’s. Renovated several years ago, the modern décor of dark wood floors and tables and black vinyl seating is a nice contrast to the exposed Douglas fir beam structure. The Big K and I came here for a breakfast date and were both suitably impressed. We both had the $ 4.95 breakfast special which included three eggs served any style. Service was charming. The restaurant was spotless. An over 100 items menu selection, including steaks, pasta, fish and Greek specialties, will have us coming back for more.
