It’s alright. I’ve been some better self serve frozen yogurt places. The staff are amazing and very friendly. They teach first timers how to dispense the frozen yogurt and add toppings. I’ve been here a few times due to their very central location but don’t particularly like their flavours. This is quite surprising given I have very low standards for frozen yogurts. Watch out when putting on toppings. Things that don’t seem very heavy like gummies or cookie dough can weigh a lot and add dollars to your final price. Many people also forget that the waffle cones cost nothing extra, they are just weighed like any other topping. The cones are made fresh daily. They are delicious and a nice, crisp contrast to the soft texture of the frozen yogurt.

Oh my gosh. I have only been in twice so far, but considering I’ve been in Kingston for a little less than a week, I think habits are forming.
What’s super cool about Menchies is that it’s 100% self-​serve. When you walk in, you can talk to the attendants and they’ll explain the process to you. Basically, check out the flavour wall — which changes regularly, giving me more reasons to frequent the place — sample a few to see what you’d like to put in your bowl, and then make your bowl of froyo!
There are endless toppings and flavour combinations so you can mix and match or just keep things simple; your choice. Your total will be determined by weight, so be careful how full you make yours, it definitely gets pricer when you fill it up with lots and lots of stuff.
Apparently this is a franchise, and it’s very popular with the hollywood types, so you can scope the glamour wall while you eat.
I thought that the staff were really helpful, the flavour choices were really unique (Red velvet cake, shredded coconut, green apple sorbet to name a few), and I love the brightly painted interior. A fun place to hang out and cool off, to be sure. Also, all flavours are labelled to give those looking for «sugar free», «Kosher», or «lactose free» an easy way to know what’s good for them.
