For a discount grocery chain this location is not bad. Their produce isn’t great, but it’s much better than no frills. The staff are generally friendly, and the sales in their weekly flyer are usually decent. The only drawback is that they often run out of items that are on sale and on busier days the lineups can get out of hand.

Food Basics is a discount grocery chain that is part of the Metro group. The prices are cheap (that’s why I’m a fan) but the selection isn’t always the best (which is why I don’t give it four or five stars). This particular location used to have a habit of running out of stuff that was on sale, and having epic lineups that would leave you standing around, but that seems to be improving. It is a discount supermarket after all…
