Amazing slices and quality service. The lady working the cash was very nice and courteous. The place is family owned and operated, with a rustic Italian atmosphere and some beautiful modern art on the wall. The atmosphere was, sadly, killed by the country music blaring in the dining room. So wrong. I ordered a slice of Canadian with San pellegrino and jalapeño cheddar sauce. It is SO good and very much worth the $ 6. I would love to return some time to get a whole pizza but the prices are a little out of my league at this time.

The only thing worse than the snotty service is their pizza. Don’t waste your money.

Here’s the thing with pepperoni pizza, they have four basic ingredients:
Dough, Sauce, Cheese, and Pepperoni. Some places can make these four ingredients taste amazing together and others… well I’m sure you’ve all had a bad slice of pizza. Rustic Slice is one of those places that can make four basic ingredients taste AWESOME!!! I love how they make everything in house, and it’s all fresh too! Please for the love of Pizza stick with your high standards that you have now. I have seen so many of my favourite pizza places drop the ball by lowing the quality of ingredients and dropping their initial standards. Good job!

First time ordering pizza and wings from Rustic Slice and we have found a new favourite pizzeria! Picked up a large with pepperoni mushrooms and onions. Order was promptly ready at supper hour for pick up.
The pizza far exceeded our expectations with a tasty tomato sauce, lots of cheese and piping hot. The jalapeño dipping sauce was home made and truly tasty and with a good «bite» to it. Yum.
Had honey garlic and medium wings and they were a good meaty size. They were coated with a light batter with a touch of sauce on them. They were good but the pizza totally impressed our taste buds, now making this our first and only choice for pizza!

Three-​and-​half stars is more like it, but that option is not available. We’ve been trying to find good pizza in this area ever since we moved here eight years ago. While not great, I think this restaurant has the best we have found so far after trying a couple of dozen other places. When we want great pizza, we go to La Nova in Buffalo. Maybe we’ve been spoiled by living in New York and Chicago, both of which have countless restaurants serving phenomenal pizza. Local pizzeria owners should visit these cities and learn a thing or two from the experts.

A little expensive and took way too long to get my order because ‘we had a big take out order’ even though I was eating in. The pizza was insanely hot when I received it because I guess they were rushing to get it to me since they took so long. Overall, the pizza was pretty good and I’d give them another shot. The pizza by the slice looked old, so I would probably only go if I was ordering a whole pizza.

Tried their Chicken Alfredo Signature Pizza. It’s most probably the best pizza in KW.

one of the best pizza pies I have had in recent memory! the crust was amazing and the sauce was just right and this was a delivered pie, fresh at the store would only be better. highly recommended to all!

Everyone needs their own «go to» pizza place, after you try their baked pizza, dipping sauce and gourmet salad you will be RUINED for pizza for life. i can’t even smell the pizza from a chain pizza place anymore, its not worth it. Rustic Slice makes the best pizza i have ever had.
while you’re waiting for your pizza to finish baking, be patient it takes a while. in fact you should call ahead, talk to the owners Anna and Reza. ask them, how long does it take to make the tomato sauce? 8 Hours! how do you assess the quality of your doe and who is the supplier? it’s not your common flour mix, this is special. did you have a chef design and assist in menu creation? who supplies your cheese? you won’t believe what you hear. the timber framing was from the owner’s original barn too. the owners are super passionate about their food and are very proud to bake for you REAL HIGH QUALITY pizza at a reasonable price.
get a fresh baked pizza from Rustic Slice. you will not regret it.

Truly Truly a HUGE disappointment. Drove by this place a few times while visiting my buddy and stopped in last weekend to pick up a medium pizza. My buddy warned me that the place is never busy — LIKE EVER — anytime he drives past there is never anyone there… and that that’s usually a sign that the place isn’t very good. Long story short, the place looks nice inside, but the pizza is honestly horrible! The crust is tasteless, very thin and rock hard, the sauce is bland. just the entire pizza is just blahhhh. I have never had such a greasy pizza either. You could literally see the layer of grease sitting on top of the cheese. I had to blot the grease off with a paper towel before eating it. I also got the homemade dipping sauce to go with the pizza and it did not agree with me at all! I ended up eating only a few slices from the pie and threw the rest out. I was not impressed at all with the pizza here! I don’t understand where they are getting reviews saying the pizza is the best they ever had — they are obviously either their friends writing these reviews, or they are writing their own. Trust me — This Pizza Joint is HIGHLY OVER PRICED and has one of the worst pizza’s in the KW area! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, where you can actually enjoy the meal you paid for !

The pizza was superb. The entire family loved it! The store made dipping sauce had a frat flavour too.

Truly a diamond in the rough, and I almost mean that literally — Rustic slice is currently located across the street from an asphalt dump in a mostly industrial area. Rough, indeed! But let’s discuss the diamond, shall we?
My first experience was just this week, having been tipped off by a coworker. I admit, I was jealous of his lunch. I walked in and was pleasantly surprised at how neat and clean it was inside. Well lit with lots of windows, and enough seating for maybe 20 people. And of course, it smelled delightful.
You know you’re in a decent pizza place when the bacon is actually real chunks of bacon. Indeed, as I gazed at the pizza selection prepared for the lunch crowd, I could tell that all of the ingredients were fresh. Later I learned that they try to source all their ingredients from local sources. Impressive!
You already know where I’m going with this. The pizza was fantastic! Perfectly cooked in a stone oven, the flavours in my Soprano pizza were sweet and spicy and savory in all the right ratios. The sourdough crust, prepared fresh daily, was light and crispy. Just really, really good. I was also impressed by their selection of cane sugar sodas. Try the birch beer, it’s great!
Upon returning to work I passed some coworkers just heading out for lunch. They were going to a different pizza place. Of course, I promptly steered them to Rustic Pizza instead. How could I not? I’d have been plagued by a guilty conscience for the rest of the day if I hadn’t.
Do yourself a favour and check out this true diamond in the rough. They care about making a good pizza, and that makes all the difference.

It’s hard to find a restaurant that does both pizza and salad well but this place does!
Ordered a custom pizza. Tasty dough and lots of toppings.
Also ordered a side Thai Peanut salad. It was amazing. It doesn’t actually come with peanut pieces– the peanut is in their homemade salad dressing so I asked for peanuts on the side since I love the crunch. It was very perfect.
The owners are very nice. We ate in the restaurant. It’s nicely decorated in a modern, rustic atmosphere.

The best pizza we’ve found in Kitchener! We recently relocated from Montréal and miss the great food selection and Quality. Pizza has always been a quick enjoyable indulgence. Unfortunately we have found the pizza here lacking in flavour and nothing makes it stand out as a meal worth returning for. Up until we found The Rustic Slice, ordering pizza just lacked the anticipation we’ve come to expect just before you flip open the box and smell the ‘Za! The Rustic Slice has brought that little pleasure back in a big way! The Quality of their food is outstanding, the service is delightful and their passion for their products; pizza, soups and salads included, is evident. Thank you «Rustic Slice» for returning a simple pleasure to «PizzaNight».

The pizza at Rustic Slice is not good. It’s f***ing amazing! Probably one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had.
I had a quick chat with Reza and Anna who were very proud of their product and explained how everything is done on premises from scratch — the dough, sauces, etc. They turned out to be owners of the place which explains the passion — an essential ingredient in cooking.
Two concerns: with the price of $ 14 – 15 for a medium pizza the place is a bit spendy but you get what you pay for — and much, much more. Second — I would like to see regular forks and knives instead of the plastic ones — definitely not a deal breaker for me.
I’m not coming to Kitchener too often but I will make sure to visit Rustic Slice again next time I’m there.

FINALLY a good pizza place in K/​W Cambridge!
EASILY the best pizza in the region. Fresh and unique toppings, delicious sauces, and their salads are amazing. Joseph H’s review must have been a bad day, because every time I’ve been there it’s always busy. I’ve only ever had their fresh made pizzas, never one of their pre-​made slices, tho.
Apparently this place is all the rage, as I know people that live in that area and they all rave about it!
I can’t stress enough… try this place. Their pizza is THE BEST!!!

It’s located in a corner lot still missing a lot of development, opposite a Mac’s gas station. I’ve had better from $ 2 pizza places. The main problem is that they don’t have that many customers so turnover is low. The pizza I had was sitting under the heat lamp for way too long and the consistency was like cardboard. It was also relatively expensive at $ 4 for a slice. I could’ve bought a large frozen pizza from the grocery store and baked it myself for a better taste.
In a pizza, I’m first looking for a good crust and dough. After experiencing real Neapolitan pizza with its chewy thin crust, it’s hard to go back to regular North American pizza dough. This had just the regular pizza dough.
The ingredients were probably ok before they had sat under the heat lamp for a while. The menu claims to use fresh ingredients. It’s probably true. I feel bad giving such a negative review, because their business appears to be suffering, and they’re putting on a forced smile. I’m not sure if they will survive another year at this location.

I have been waiting months for this place to open. Family owned and operated. Went in after work.. Ermahgerd.. This Zza is incredible! Well worth the wait. I will be going many times over, for sure. You gotta try it.. They have salads and stuff too. Everything is fresh and made in house.
Update7/​23/​14: I have made it a regular occurrence. My SO and I can’t get enough of their food. Not every trip includes the pizza (gotta watch my figure lol) but at the least, we are walking out with a salad. Anna and Reza are the nicest people and very welcoming. Glad to have them in the neighbourhood. Hands down the best pizza place in all of KW.
